Islamophobia serves the direct material interest of the capitalist class in the world, Arab and Muslim regions are vital for energy supplies, these bigotries enable the use of military force and puppet states. This superstructure rests on ECONOMICAL EXPLOITATION

Haley Stevens did not suddenly become a fascist because of her weirdo Hasbara Husband. This is always who she’s been. She’s with her weirdo Hasbara Husband exactly because she is a Zionist fascist.
From a longtime Stevens ally:
“The consensus among her friends, colleagues and staff is that there needs to be an intervention to save Haley from her fiancé because, if you ignore the politics and focus on the personal dynamics, you are watching in real time what happens when a kind and smart - but deeply insecure - woman falls under the influence of a toxic and controlling - and deeply insecure - man.”

The same script that they're using against El-Sayed was used, verbatim, against Mamdani: he's a jihadist, the type who did 9/11, he endangers Jews, many Jewish Dems can't vote for him, he's dividing Dems, far too extreme, etc. etc.
Yet Mamdani crushed Cuomo twice and is now one of America's most popular politicians. I guess the assumption is that it didn't work in NYC because it's too left-wing -- even though it had not exactly been electing left-wing mayors (Giuliani, Bloomberg, etc) -- but will work in Michigan? I guess we'll find out, but this isn't 2002, and -- outside of Fox News viewers -- I don't think most people are waking up worried about Muslims and jihad and sharia law (just like they weren't worrying about Russia and Putin).
Also, demonization campaigns only work if the target aligns with the depiction. People never perceived Trump as a Hitler figure, and neither Mamdani or El-Sayed code as some sort of "radical jihadist," whatever that means. Depicting random American Muslims as terrorists is dumb and offensive unto itself, but it seems hard to believe it's politically effective: just the kind of classic fear-mongering tactic a desperate movement uses when they have nothing else.
(Also, both Mamdani and El-Sayed deploy a much more America First worldview than Mike Rogers: let's stop sending our money to Israel and fighting wars for them so we can put that money into our own communities, and for our own people, instead).
Salem Media’s chief strategy officer Brad Parscale is running Israel’s foreign influence operation and is registered as a foreign agent for them. Of course she heads here for a nice interview.

There are like five employers of >500 people left in American journalism, all of which require that you tolerate working with open racists like Kirchick. Also: this exception for anti-Muslim bigotry in U.S. society goes a long way toward explaining body counts in the Middle East.

Two days later, @HaleyforMI endorsed Republican @MikeRogersForMI over @AbdulElSayed in Michigan's Senate race.

El-Sayed supporters Aasiya Yaasiin, Mina Abdel-Khalek and Faduma Hassan say Islamophobic rhetoric in TV ads is making them feel less safe at school and in public. “It’s like going back in time. I’m more in danger of a racist event now than five years ago,” Yaasiin says.

The @TheAtlantic and @JeffreyGoldberg happily publish this open anti-Muslim bigot. First, he suggested I should be deported and am not a real American. And now he is suggesting Wajahat is a terrorist.
This is what mainstreamed liberal Islamophobia looks like:

“Zionism has brought millions of people to a state of utter derangement,” Pulitzer Prize winner Benjamin Moser said, noting that pro-Israel commentators struggle to even acknowledge that Palestinians are human.
Moser questioned the value of platforming such views in the name of “balance,” comparing it to debating the merits of Nazism or inviting a member of the KKK to provide an opposing perspective when interviewing a Black guest.
