Before October 7th, the family lived together under one roof in a small home with his wife Duha, and his sisters, but that life was lost when their house was destroyed. She witnessed the violent theft of a humanitarian aid truck that, according to her account, involved criminal gangs collaborating with Israeli forces and resulted in four people being martyred and five injured, an event that continues to affect her. Her mother, the family’s main caregiver and only source of income, sells vegetables by the roadside to support the household while caring for Jumana and her siblings, including three younger children with cerebral palsy aged 3, 5, and 10 who require constant attention. With their father living separately with his other wife, Jumana’s mother carries most of the family’s responsibilities and relies on medication to manage the pressure, while Jumana helps care for her family and continues to support them through difficult circumstances.
