His wife cares for their two daughters, Zahra and Farah, trying to keep the family going under difficult and unsanitary conditions with very limited supplies. His mother lives with chronic health issues including hypertension, diabetes, and lymphedema, and his father also requires daily care, leaving Ahmed constantly balancing medical needs, childcare, and survival. He worries especially about protecting his children from harsh weather and limited medical supplies, including scarce items like milk, diapers, clothing, and sun protection. Before October 7th, the family lived together under one roof in a small home with his wife Duha, and his sisters, but that life was lost when their house was destroyed. Now, despite the flooding shelter and ongoing hardship, Ahmed continues to support his extended family as best he can and asks for modest help to secure basic necessities for his children.
