Perhaps most of you have already heard of the Finnish TRACKX 🇫🇮 vehicle, developed by Patria 🇫🇮. However, it is worth remembering that Poland 🇵🇱 also has a vehicle of a similar class in its portfolio, one that has been serving as a platform for various military systems for over 15 years. I am referring to the Light Tracked Chassis (LPG) 🇵🇱, developed as a universal base for specialised military vehicles.
This is an example of a domestically developed design that remains somewhat overshadowed by more widely recognised programmes, despite its capabilities and potential applications deserving greater attention. This is particularly true because the LPG 🇵🇱 is also a combat-proven platform. Since 2022, these vehicles have been serving in the Ukrainian Armed Forces 🇺🇦 as command vehicles supporting Polish AHS Krab self-propelled howitzers 🦀🇵🇱. This means that the Polish 🇵🇱 design is being used in high-intensity warfare, and its value extends beyond test results and design assumptions alone.
