NEW: Multiple federal sources confirm to @FoxNews that the suspect arrested for using a sledgehammer to behead a WW2 Iwo Jima monument in Quantico, VA on Tuesday is a Mexican illegal alien & former DACA recipient whose legal status expired this year. Miguel Alonso Maldonado Soriano has now been charged with felony destruction of property and trespass with intent to damage property. Per federal sources, Soriano illegally crossed into the U.S. in December 1999. He was granted DACA by the Obama administration in 2014 and had it extended for years, most recently by the Biden admin in 2024, but he lost his DACA status in August of this year when it wasn’t renewed by the Trump administration.

Two former senior FBI officials, Nikki Cole Floris and Bradley Benavides, were taken into custody today on charges of allegedly lying to Congress about their involvement in the FBI’s investigations into Hunter Biden. The charges stem from an ongoing investigation into the since-dissolved FBI Foreign Influence Task Force. Floris led the FITF as a Deputy Assistant Director from mid-2019 through mid-2022. Benavides was the FITF Section Chief from mid-2019 through the 2020 election. Both testified that the FITF was not involved in the Hunter Biden investigations. Documentary evidence, contemporaneous communications, and witness accounts contradict their testimony. Floris is also on record privately claiming to be “running a shadow government” during the 2020 election in her role on the FITF. Lying to Congress by senior FBI officials strikes at the heart of our system. No one is above the law. The FBI has already dismantled the corrupt CR-15 squad that engaged in political weaponization targeting their opponents, including President Trump. Thanks to @TheJusticeDept @FBIKansasCity and @USAttyPirro. -DKP🇺🇸

North Korean IT workers are infiltrating companies worldwide, generating millions for the regime while exploiting access to steal sensitive data. Posing as legitimate remote employees, they use stolen identities and a network of facilitators—including U.S. citizens—to secure jobs, collect salaries, and funnel funds back to North Korea. U.S. companies must recognize this persistent threat. Review the updated @FBI PSA for warning signs and mitigation guidance: ic3.gov/PSA/2026/PSA261013

Desmond Levon Brown, 30, of Orangeburg, S.C. was convicted under the Preventing Animal Cruelty and Torture Act, the first-ever PACT Act prosecution in South Carolina, which is a powerful federal enforcement effort aimed at ending extreme animal cruelty. “This was an awful act of animal cruelty that deserves accountability,” said ATF Charlotte Special Agent in Charge Alicia Jones. “No animal should ever have to experience such terrible abuse, and those who commit reprehensible acts of violence like this will be brought to justice.” Under federal law, Brown will also serve three years of supervised release, and is barred from owning animals. A strong gust of wind caused a canoe trailer to tip over on the Mackinac Bridge, but thanks to quick thinking and teamwork, everyone made it safely across. On October 17, 2026, at about 11:12 p.m., a Michigan State Police trooper from the St. Ignace Post responded to a trailer that had tipped over while crossing the Mackinac Bridge. The trailer was being pulled by a pickup truck and was carrying eight canoes. A gust of wind caused the trailer to tip over and come to rest against the bridge railing on the northbound lanes. The trooper helped keep the driver and his dog safe and warm inside the patrol car while waiting for more help to arrive. George’s Towing from St. Ignace responded and was able to pull the trailer back onto the road and upright again, without losing a single canoe. Once upright, the goal was then to get everyone to the north side of the bridge safely. To help keep the trailer from tipping over again, the tow truck stayed attached while the trooper escorted everyone to the north side of the bridge. Thanks to the teamwork, everyone made it safely across with all eight canoes.

ICE transferred Rajinder Kumar, a criminal illegal alien from India, to Oregon state custody to face prosecution in connection with the deaths of two newlywed Americans. Kumar has been indicted in Deschutes County, Ore., on 2 counts of first-degree manslaughter and other related charges stemming from a deadly November 2025 tractor-trailer accident. After his local arrest, ICE lodged an immigration detainer with the Deschutes County Jail, but in April 2026, Deschutes County released Kumar from custody without honoring ICE’s detainer. ICE officers subsequently located and arrested Kumar at large earlier this year. Following the conclusion of state criminal proceedings, ICE will pursue Kumar’s immigration case consistent with federal law.
