pre-emptively: new handle is @DiscretelyQueer, bc I'm graduating, so before anyone says it's the wrong spelling, it's not - I am one, whole, singular, queer, who is very much *not* subtle about it. it's also a reference to the 2014 film Pride 🏳️‍🌈

“rainbow capitalism is bad” and “it’s a really, really bad sign when companies stop doing rainbow capitalism” are two true statements that do not contradict each other.

59% of those consulted in Labour’s CLOSED (ie you only got a say if invited) consultation on puberty blockers said there should be NO ban. The 59% made up of reputable medical orgs. But Evangelical Wes went with the 27% who wanted a ban. The 27% made up of mostly anti-trans fronts, religious cranks and paper-mache pseudo ‘science’ quacks. STINKS. @jk_rowling @wesstreeting @UKLabour . What was the point of the consultation? 🤷‍♀️. Your mind was made up - as it was in the pre-cooked Cass Report.

For people that don't understand the frustration and anger about this image. Just picture Andrew Wakefield receiving a peerage for publishing his discredited paper claiming vaccines cause autism. This is just as offensive.
Hilary Cass getting a peerage for publishing an ideologically biased, methodically unsound, internationally discredited report that’s being used to remove healthcare rights from vulnerable young trans people is disgusting.

Some NHS GP's now claim they lack the expertise to treat trans patients with HRT, this letter is from the GMC in 2016 explaining that no, it is NOT beyond their expertise and is expected to be carried out in primary care as a duty to patient. The HRT guidelines havent changed.
NHS GPs are stopping prescribing hormones, even with a diagnosis of gender dysphoria

HORRIFIED to see this The REAL challenge we are facing here in the UK. Cass Reviewers & NHS staff involved in the care of Trans adolescents at the openly gender critical conference SEGM - yet not one of them attended the WPATH symposium As reported by @ErinInTheMorn

There is a very active & concerted effort to ensure anti-trans figures are in positions of authority across the NHS, especially in trans children's care. This is an acute & powerful threat to trans children's healthcare rights, with risk of abuse & conversive practices.

Here’s the facts under @UKLabour @wesstreeting if you are trans. This isn’t melodrama - how it now actually is in the UK: ⭐️If you go to the NHS and tell them you are trans, you will be directed to mental health (even though being trans is not ‘mental health’). You’ll then have ‘therapy’ to see if you can be happy other ways. ⭐️The NHS will prevent you from accessing meds to transition, and will insist on you going through the puberty you don’t want, to see if you like being the sex you do not identify with. You might turn into a hot-blooded gay man or lesbian woman - even though both are unconnected to trans. After all, there’s “no harm done”. ⭐️If you dare to go down the private route, the NHS will uniquely withdraw all future care ⭐️If you are a parent helping your child take the private route, the NHS will report you to social services ⭐️If you obtain harmless puberty blockers from abroad - available in all EU countries - you will be prosecuted. ⭐️If you insist you are still trans at 18, you will be directed to another part of the NHS for more ‘exploratory therapy.’ You will not be able to join the lengthy list (decades) to transition until you are 25 - because unlike c i s people, this is when trans brains mature 🤪 ⭐️It will be impossible to undo all the “no harm done” changes the NHS insisted you go through, and they will offer no means to rectify them. ⭐️You will find it harder to slip seamlessly into society. ⭐️The NHS and Wes will insist “no harm was done.” #Cass #Streeting

The Cass review is well on its way to achieving the same status as Andrew Wakefield's work on vaccines: roundly dissected, debunked and discredited by actual scientists and professionals in the field, but stubbornly refusing to die because too many people like what it says.
The Cass Review didn't find a single child who had been harmed by puberty blockers or rushed into them by the NHS. It speculated, without providing any evidence, that the harm of blockers might be that a child would become transgender.

"The average Brit is transphobic" factoid is just a statistical error, the average Brit does 0 transphobia per year. Transphobia Joann, who lives in a castle and posts over 10,000 times per day is an outlier adn should not have been counted

UK Labour meeting with a billionaire to "reassure" her on limiting the rights of a minority, but not meeting with any representative groups of that minority, while there are reports of a marked increase in suicide in kids belonging to that minority due to the limiting of rights.
