Can AI replicate in-person events and community meetups?
whats the chance
My company @mdsonly was featured by @Forbes as a business that AI cant replicate. In-person events and community meetups for 7- to 9-figure ecom founders is what we do.
do me a favor and give us a like and a retweet. I really appreciate it.

That’s a 2025 perspective.
It’s two parts.
1) $1,000 CAC is the net sum of different initiatives ranging from $2k+ to some $250-$750 CAC
Top 10% of it is the outlier. Need to isolate it from the rest. You might already have a winner but didn’t know.
2) $50 might be $150 LTV.
Different psychologies and funnel tiers. Might be some tweaks away from being on higher end. You might already be there on some of the pixeled audiences.
Summary: Your 0.05 blended RoAS might be a targeted 0.75 instead, getting closer to breakeven and profit.
The 2026 advantage of AI is that these are self-learning growth loops that multiple frameworks and value-prop thresholds can be experimented with. Then you just pull out and scale dynamically the extreme outliers within the attribution signal.

We scaled Stan to $40M ARR on 100% organic growth.
Earlier today, I spent an hour picking the brain of @MattSwulinski, Head of Growth at viktor.com (formerly marketing hire #1 at Wispr Flow managing tens of millions in spend).
I went in asking the question most organic founders obsess over:
When are your retention and product metrics actually ready to turn on paid ads?
Here were the 4 core takeaways that shifted how I think about acquisition:
1. The first 60 days will look terrifying
Most founders test paid ads for 2 weeks, see an initial CAC of $500 to $1,000 against a $50 product, panic, and shut it off.
His take: That initial spike is normal while pixel signals are cold and creatives are uncalibrated.
It takes roughly 2 months of relentless iteration across creative, landers, and positioning to bring that down into a healthy range ($15-$25). If you aren't prepared to dedicate a real test budget for 60 days to let the machine learn, don't start.
2. Do not optimize for the purchase if volume is low
If you aren't clearing 50+ purchases a week on a specific ad set, ad platforms do not have enough data density to optimize delivery.
Instead, find your upstream activation proxy.
At Wispr, they discovered that dictating 200 words was a near-perfect statistical predictor of long-term paid conversion. They optimized ad delivery toward that 200-word milestone, and let the product onboarding handle the rest.
3. Signal engineering matters as much as creative
What you withhold from the algorithm is as important as what you feed it.
If users can sign up with low-intent accounts or empty sandboxes, those still fire conversion pixels. The ad network thinks it won and feeds you more low-quality traffic.
Filter out trash signals before the pixel reports back to Meta or Google so the algorithm only hunts for users who actually retain.
4. Organic ceilings are real
Even the best word-of-mouth engines hit an asymptote.
Companies like Superhuman scaled massively on founder referrals, but eventually had to layer on paid distribution, creator partnerships, and sponsors to break through the plateau.
Paid acquisition is not a replacement for a great product or organic distribution.
It is the operational engine you build once you have something people already love, to guarantee you control your own pipeline rather than hoping the algorithm smiles on you tomorrow.

The China state-aligned threat actor Storm-0940 used the agentic AI penetration testing framework ARTEX to automate attacks targeting hundreds of organizations globally across a broad range of industries. Microsoft Threat Intelligence assesses that Storm-0940 was responsible for the recently disclosed ConnectWise supply chain compromise of a multitenant application. msft.it/6018aakEE
Our investigation found that Storm-0940's use of ARTEX accelerated the speed of compromised application abuse to authenticate to target environments through applications that had already been granted access, allowing the threat actor to operate without requiring an interactive user sign-in. AI-accelerated follow-on activity included reconnaissance, application credential changes, and attempts to modify privileges that could enable expanded or persistent access.
Read our blog for a detailed analysis and indicators of compromise (IOCs), along with Microsoft Defender detections, protection recommendations, and guidance on investigating service principal sign-ins and unexpected application credential or privilege changes.

Whop has raised $200M in Series D funding at a $5.1B valuation, backed by @sequoia and @shopify.
It really feels like we are barely touching the tip of the iceberg in a market larger than anyone can imagine.
We first launched Whop as a better way for us to sell sneaker bots, one of the most niche types of desktop software out there.
Total TAM? Probably $20,000 per day.
Who cares, tiny market.
But, what people discounted is the idea that there were actually 70,000 other markets exactly like that one.
Beyond the investment itself, I am especially excited to welcome legendary silicon valley investor @dougleone to our board of directors. Doug and the sequoia team are nothing but a brilliant, resourceful, and principled group of people.
My co-founder Cameron and I started building on Shopify when we were 13 years old. Shopify is one of the most impactful all-in-one cloud ecosystems ever created; @tobi has pioneered modern entrepreneurship the way we know it and we are thrilled to have him in our corner.
We have a tenet at Whop to be the dumbest in the room and I am very grateful that this has recently become a lot easier.
We are focused on markets, scale economies, and progressive media. If that is up your alley, please message me directly.
The $200M raised will support our expansion as we build economic infrastructure for the next century, continuing on our mission of delivering everyone an income.

I have a feeling plants might be the most fantastically tuned sensing network imaginable
1/ Today we’re unveiling Bombadil, @electricplantco's foundation model that reads the electrical signals of living plants and turns them into a continuous view of their physiology.
Trained on 7M+ hours of plant electrical signal across 125+ species. That makes Bombadil the most species-diverse model of directly recorded electrical biosignals in existence. The animal equivalent would be one model that reads the brainwaves of blue whales, horseshoe crabs and fruit flies.
can't believe LinkedIn beat X in this one
