I'm very very sad tonight. I just learned that Stephen Biesty passed away in 2024 at 63... He is one of my favorite artist. Rest in peace.
The perpetual conflict between flying an airline that is guaranteed to get you there safely and has houmous; versus one where Hasidic children won't be kicking the back of your seat for 5hrs and has decent wines on board....
78 years of Britain being an occasional Israel ally, who has armed nearly every country that poses them an existential threat, and on more than one occasion deployed 'advisors' to those hostile states... and all it takes is one false Telegraph article to clutch pearls like this.

Most Arab Israelis don’t identify as Palestinian so why are you forcing that identity on them?
Good. This reverse protection racket should have been put out of its corrupt misery decades ago, were it not for the late Queen's attachment to an Empire she only briefly ruled....

The decision of the European Parliament to honour the International Criminal Court with the 2026 Sakharov Prize is to be applauded.
At this critical juncture, when international justice faces extraordinary pressures, this recognition sends an unequivocal message, that the rule of law must prevail over political expediency, and the independence of the Court must be resolutely defended.
Above all, it is a statement of solidarity with victims of the gravest crimes, whose right to justice cannot be made hostage to political considerations. The Court exists for them.
This is a moment not merely to affirm our belief in justice, but to stand up for it, defend the institutions that make it possible, and ensure that no pressure, however powerful, is allowed to extinguish the hope of justice for victims.
Now, the European Parliament and Commission should enact effective sanctions blocking legislation to protect the Court which will soon house the prize just awarded.
