2 very dry weeks across England. With most river flows now at or below normal, hard to believe there was extensive flooding at the start of January.

The UK is set for an unsettled period leading to New Year's ☔ This is partly related to the cold air that has been spreading across North America, helping to strengthen the jet stream and push low-pressure systems across the Atlantic 👇

I love the NHS, but 41 hours for an ambulance to arrive to take my ill grandmother to hospital is unacceptable. Local hospital full, so she’s even further from home. With frontline staff striking it’s clear the NHS needs more funding urgently 😢
