Part of my problem is that I’m not seeing:
- anyone of top tier signing here. They never have and I don’t think they ever will, just based off the past 20 yrs
- anyone currently in the system who will be able to replace or exceed the older pieces, ie Horvat/barzal/pelech
You'd think that consistently losing to teams that accumulate talented players would convince the #isles to try doing that, but here we are again, trying to find "the system" that will make the garbage on the team somehow luck into the playoffs again.
