Workers need to put ourselves in charge by building a network of rank-and-file committees on every shop floor. We don't need hundreds of UAW bureaucrats who make six figures and hang out with management all day.

UAW election deadlines: Sep 23 = last day to request a replacement ballot at uawvote dotcom. Sep 30 = last day you can be behind on dues & still have your vote counted. Oct 5 = day your ballot has to be received. If you miss any of those deadlines they will not count your vote!

Workers should have the authority over when to strike, not highly-paid bureaucrats in Solidarity House who support the companies. If we move in unison, there's nothing they can do to stop us. That means building a network of rank-and-file committees on every shop floor.

The repudiation of the American Revolution because it does not live up to ones present moral standards, a practice known as "presentism", leads into all sorts of blind alleys and diminishes the actual significance of what happened in the 1770s.

Listen to Fiona. She’s wise to Burnham, who has just backed Labour’s brutal anti-immigration bill. We need to build a genuine socialist alternative. Come to the SEP meeting in Sheffield on 19 July to find out how. Book tickets via this link. eventbrite.co.uk/e/your-part…

Footage from Saturday evening, 20 June 2026, shows South Yorkshire Police officers in Rawmarsh, near Rotherham, using force against a group of teenage girls, reportedly dressed for a school leavers' event.
The circulating video shows officers using physical tactics, including pushing and striking, with what appears to be a Taser deployed at one point during the clash.
🔹Current Status of the Situation:
🔹Silence from Officials:
The force has not issued a press release, social media acknowledgment, or referral update to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) concerning Rawmarsh this weekend.
🔹Prior Statements Context:
When the force faces viral video scrutiny, they typically release an acknowledgment via their social media or the South Yorkshire Police News Appeals Section within 48 to 72 hours if a formal investigation or IOPC referral is initiated.
Because the footage only began widely circulating yesterday (Sunday, 21 June), the force may still be reviewing body-worn video and log logs internally before providing a public response.

The Socialist Equality Party is launching an initiative to sign up hundreds of new SEP Supporters and involve them in the party’s campaigning and educational work.
Our party must grow to provide leadership to the emerging struggles of the working class against war, austerity and assaults on democratic rights.
We want all those who agree with our programme and history to join the SEP. But those wanting to fight for socialism who are not yet ready to join and are not yet fully familiar with what we stand for can still lend practical assistance by contributing their time, funds, resources, experience, and ideas as Supporters.
We welcome the participation of all who agree with the party’s essential aims and are prepared to fight alongside us for them.
