Industry leaders accuse government of changing guidance “on a whim.” Expanding the definition of ‘unhealthy food’ to include foods high in ‘natural’ sugars is entirely the right course. ‘Natural’ or ‘added’, the damage these products can do is the same. @TheBDA
Food industry lobbyists claim new healthy eating rules will push up prices and hit investment, They are concerned with the costs of compliance and reformulation. They seem less interested in the costs their products impose on the NHS. Our message in today's Times.

It was a fair trek from the centre and many misjudged the walk and perhaps arrived late ? After the game there appeared to be buses that no one knew about pre match ! Think with so many there and an empty stand they let everyone in
Anyone know how / why an extra 500 blues appeared in the lower tier for the second half?

"Responsibility is with the ICB locally," says dental minister @JamesFrith MP. The truth is their hands are tied by a failed contract. To end the access crisis in NHS dentistry we need real reform and fair funding. ✍️If you agree, sign here: you.38degrees.org.uk/petitio…

Dental careers have changed. NHS rules are finally catching up. New eligibility rules mean dentists moving between NHS roles won't lose access to important parental leave and sickness benefits. A fairer system, secured following BDA campaigning. bda.org/news-and-opinion/blo…

Condolences to you and all your family x
Today, I say goodbye to my mommy, my Queen. On 10 September 2026, my family lost my beautiful mother, Mrs Mary Ann Wilson, to pancreatic cancer. It was a short illness, but the pain of losing her will stay with us forever. 1/6

Apparently it's because they have complex in the name .More like complex in the engineering
Apologies. My notes said 1000 practices. It’s 1000 people. That’s v different to 1000 practices. That would pro rata be 3000 this year. Thats about 0.008% of patients seen by my est. hmm. Not flying off the shelf then!

As Jenna notes, it’s very hard to see why the next generation would ever choose to build a career in the NHS. And that’s entirely the result of political choices.@TheBDA
“My practice has five dentists and 99% of our 6,500 patients are NHS” says Jenna Murgatroyd. “On some NHS treatments such as dentures or multiple fillings we don’t break even." "I’m spending money to provide care." The reality of NHS dental care in today's Sunday Times.

Hearing @bhx_official want to double in size They certainly need to sort out baggage and departures and arrivals with enough staff before they think that ambitiously. Currently one of the worst to travel through.

Good news is next year it loses the franchise
Replying to @AvantiWestCoast
@AvantiWestCoast Service is really poor. No working WiFi, drink & food service stopped after 2 hours (how hard is it to bring a bottle of lager ). No red wine when was open , no soap in toilets, totally unreliable mobile signal. Thankfully I usually travel @LNER which is great

So sorry to hear of your loss x
I can think of little else today, other than the tragic loss of our colleague, Dr Hannah Terry (Cain). Thoughts with everybody at Grimston Medical Centre, as well as her parents & three boys. Having spoken with a GP friend of hers yesterday, she was one of the best. RIP.
