ALT During the last IEM Cologne, we protested the price policies of ESL. In particular, the incredible increase in ticket prices, as well as the tendency to monetise every aspect of the event to an absurd degree. Paying 60€ for a signing session, for a team which is not known at the time of purchase is frankly greedy. With the new ticket prices announced for the next year we can see nothing has changed. The prices are marginally cheaper than for this year, but in return, it will not be a major. We know many fans cannot afford these prices. We believe that Counter-Strike should be for everyone, not just those that have money to burn. These actions will destroy the atmosphere and community we collectively have built over the years. For this reason, we are also considering staying away from the event as a group. We will discuss this with our members and decide together how we want to respond.
