Five policies to cut reliance from Russian fuel-imports that help save the climate 🤝 1 Encourage telecommuting 🏡 2 Reduce speed limits 🏎 3 Ban cars from inner cities 🌆 4 Adapt streets for safe cycling 🚴‍♀️ 5 Replace short-haul flights with teleconferencing or train travel ☎️🚂

Imagine of all these mostly new bike-riders in Paris were still driving cars, but had switched to electric cars instead of bikes. The same car gridlock that Paris had before, more pollution, & a worse city for people by every measure. HT @AdamTranter video

Wow, that was quick. At COP26, GM, Volvo and Ford execs openly demanded more subsidies for electric cars and building of taxpayer-funded “infrastructure, infrastructure, infrastructure.” Audio/transcripts at the-spokesmen.com/COP26 – at Byker, England
I’m on my way to visit a General Motors factory to discuss how the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law will make historic investments in electric vehicles and ensure the future is made in America. See you soon, Detroit!

Copenhagen was broke before they started installing bike lanes. Cycling saved the city from insolvency.
“While Mayor, I was often asked ‘how have you been able to afford this in Copenhagen🇩🇰?’ I’d reply, ‘how have you been able to NOT afford it?’ 25 years ago we were a few days away from going bankrupt. So the city invested in the cheapest infrastructure..bicycling.”~ @mortenkabell

You mean airlines try to compete with the Shinkansen🚄😂
"The Shinkansen is the Robin Williams of trains. Just as Robin Williams didn’t compete with other comedians, the Shinkansen doesn’t compete with other trains. It competes with the airlines." Credit: @Eric_Weiner in “The Socrates Express"
