I've written to AMA about Summerhall's future. Investment is needed, but arts space has to be guaranteed, not just promised. The consultation closes Friday 23 October: summerhallconsultation.co.uk #Summerhall
It’s always a good day to volunteer, but breathtaking on a day like this. Out with the Calton Hill Conservation Trust ☀️

I’m trying to track down this portrait which used to hang in Milestone House, Edinburgh which was a support facility for those with HIV. It’s very important to me and the artist who painted it in the 1980s. If you can throw some light on its whereabouts we’d appreciate it

We're deeply concerned that the Shadow Culture Secretary appears to be arguing for an end to almost all public investment in arts & culture.
A cut of this magnitude would be unprecedented and catastrophic. We've requested a full explanation of the numbers and a serious rethink.
We will cut the arts & culture budget by £1bn in order to fund 50,000 prison places. Keeping rapists and other dangerous offenders locked up is a priority for the @Conservatives. We will always put community safety first.
@RichmoMusic If you need help understanding the numbers, please don’t hesitate to get in touch. Always happy to talk you through.

So, a group of Nigerian IT professionals was spotted at Palms Hotel on the A127 near Upminster … and you can pretty much guess what happened next.

Disappointed by this decision - an apart hotel conversion may be defensible on its own, but cumulatively they are not.
Proud to have represented the community in supporting their objections at the Hearing.

Lib Dem’s would have condemned Edinburghs residents to years of wrangling and arguments and prevarication while the assets on the street continue to decline.
LIB-DEMs: Edinburgh boring? Prefer Rio’s COPACABANA Beach? LIB-DEMS to the rescue! Yes — with R Murphy’s help — they can turn Princes Street into COPACABANA, concreting, sorry ‘mosaicing’, a long slice of gardens for your samba party. That is what you wanted, right? @scotlibdems
