Any government in Pakistan, elected or not, must act in the national interest. But the national interest cannot come at the expense of ordinary citizens' livelihoods, especially in a country where millions are already fighting to survive below the poverty line.

There is a complete blackout of news from Balochistan.

🇵🇰 Imran Khan’s 3 sisters have already spent OVER A MONTH behind bars, and Pakistan just found a way to keep them there until at least November 26. Punjab’s government has EXTENDED the detention of Aleema Khan, Uzma Khan and Noreen Niazi by ANOTHER 30 days, under a public order law normally aimed at people seen as threats to public peace. Their family asked a court to free them, but the judge threw the case out over a paperwork issue. Meanwhile, a terrorism court has pushed back its verdict against Aleema yet again, to November 26, the same day her detention ends. Whether that timing is a coincidence is anyone’s guess, but there are fears Aleema could be arrested again in the terrorism case as soon as her detention ends. 3 sisters with no political roles, held under one law until another can take over. Is this how justice works in Pakistan now? Sources: @WaqasAwan666, @writetofahim / Writer: Julie

These Patwaris & Faujeets keep taunting PTI supporters, claiming that Shehbaz Sharif has saved the world from World War 3, when my leader has been saying for the past eight years that war is not the solution. He never wanted to drag Pakistan into rented wars. He created strong resistance against such involvement, and that was a huge service to the nation. His sole focus was to give Pakistan and its people a dignified life, where the country could make its own independent decisions and free itself from the influence of Zionist interests. The Epstein files also proved that Imran Khan poses a significant threat to the interests of the US and Israel. And that is why he is in jail today. There is a reason why those who profit from wars have kept him behind bars for the past four years. Today, once again, it has been proven that my leader neither bowed down nor sent his people to their deaths, nor did he allow his nation to be humiliated before the world. InshaAllah, he will return once again, and this time, he will teach a lesson not only to the oppressors in Pakistan but to the entire world.

It takes some time, but eventually, Imran Khan is almost always proven right on the big things. He is the most powerful voice for peace, justice, and human dignity in the world at a time when all three are in short supply. There is a reason why those who want to cash wars have kept him locked up in a prison cell for the last 3+ years.
Imran Khan (July 2019): "I’m not sure whether all the countries realize the gravity of the situation if there’s a conflict with Iran. People don’t understand, you know, this is not going to be the same as Iraq. This could be much, much, much worse." Speaking at the US Institute of Peace in Washington DC, the then-Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan warned directly against a military conflict with Iran. Key excerpts from his address: • "...the Shia element in Islam is very cohesive. They have a much greater sense of martyrdom..." • "The battle might be quite short...bombing airfields and so on... But the consequences after that... not many people fully understand it." • "I would strongly urge that there should not be... another military situation... The last thing we want is another conflict on our borders." This should help the world understand why Imran Khan is in jail today. He stands with the oppressed, stands for sovereignty, and leads the Movement for Justice in Pakistan.

🚨🚨 Chief minister of #Pakistan’s most populous province #Punjab promoting an unlawful act/settlement of score, indirectly mob violence and encouraging out of court revenge. Scary and worrying!
This is a tight slap in the face of those entitled, spoiled brats who look down upon the poor as if they were lesser human beings. They arrogantly believe that money and power put them above the law, allowing them to exploit, intimidate, and act with impunity. Let me make one thing absolutely clear: As Chief Minister of Punjab, I stand firmly with the oppressed, regardless of how powerful their oppressors may be. No amount of wealth, influence, or political connections should enable anyone to escape accountability. Justice is not a privilege reserved for the rich and powerful; it is a fundamental right of every citizen. No one is above the law, and no victim should ever have to fight alone simply because the perpetrator has money or influence.

If a military dictator actually wanted to do good, he’d subject himself to the highest level of accountability, not lifetime immunity. Immunity is for those who want to ruin the country unchecked. Accountability is for those who genuinely want to build it.

FOUR YEARS WITHOUT ARSHAD SHARIF Four years ago today, on October 23, 2022, Pakistani investigative journalist Arshad Sharif was shot dead by Kenyan police outside Nairobi. Police called it a case of mistaken identity. Mr. Sharif, a prominent television anchor critical of Pakistan's military establishment, had left Pakistan in August 2022 after multiple criminal cases, including sedition charges, were registered against him. In December 2022, Pakistan's own fact-finding team concluded the killing was a "planned, targeted assassination" and said people in Kenya, Dubai or Pakistan may have been involved. Four years later, no one has been convicted. 🔹 In July 2024, Kenya's High Court ruled the shooting unlawful. 🔹 In July 2026, Kenya's Supreme Court declined to order prosecution of the officers. 🔹 Three men named in the criminal case remain at large. 🔹 In February 2026, the Federal Constitutional Court ended its oversight of the investigation, despite a written plea from his widow, Javeria Siddique, to keep it open. His late mother, who died in October 2025 still seeking justice, asked that senior military and intelligence officials be named in the case. They were not. Pakistan's military rejects any suggestion of involvement. If that is so, an independent and transparent investigation should be welcomed by all sides. First Pakistan Global calls on: ✅ Pakistan to make public the findings of the Special Joint Investigation Team ✅ Kenya to make a public charging decision on the officers involved ✅ Both governments to accept an independent international investigation, as Reporters Without Borders has urged ✅ @StateDept and Members of Congress to raise the case with both governments Impunity in this case sends a message to every Pakistani journalist who asks hard questions. Full statement with sources attached. @IFJGlobal @pressfreedom @CPJAsia @RSF_inter @HRCP87 @amnesty @hrw @UNHumanRights @HRCP87 @worqas @brief_pk @ryangrim @cenkuygur @DropSiteNews @MarioNawfal @MoeedNj #JusticeForArshadSharif #NoImpunity #PressFreedom

#Pakistan: CPJ reiterates its call on Pakistani authorities to ensure justice for journalist Arshad Sharif and accountability for his killing through a transparent judicial process. #JusticeForArshadSharif @CMShehbaz, @PakPMO, @AzamNazeerTarar, @MIshaqDar50, @ForeignOfficePk, @PakinKenya
#Kenya 🇰🇪 CPJ urges Kenyan authorities to initiate criminal proceedings against police officers implicated in the deadly shooting of Pakistani journalist Arshad Sharif four years ago. Police initially said Sharif’s killing was a case of mistaken identity. However, subsequent investigations, including by the Pakistani government, raised questions about a narrative “full of contradictions, concluding that “assassination cannot be ruled out.” And while the courts have found the killing constituted a fundamental breach of constitutional rights, they have stopped short of directing criminal proceedings in the case, arguing this would constitute undue interference with independent prosecutorial authorities. The final domestic appeal in this case was dismissed by the Supreme Court in July 2026. Sharif’s case is emblematic of the fear experienced by exiled journalists in Kenya as cases of transnational repression rise. Failure to deliver justice for Sharif sends a message that no journalist is safe in Kenya. Read more: cpj.org/data/people/arshad-s…

Replying to @CAGEintl
@CAGEintl is a human rights organisation that has worked since 2003 with Guantánamo detainees, victims of rendition and communities targeted under counterterrorism laws. Its decision to name Imran Khan a War on Terror prisoner of conscience deserves attention. A former Prime Minister has been held for more than three years in a series of politically charged cases, with serious concerns about due process, access to his lawyers and family, and his conditions of detention. Whatever one's politics, this is a test of Pakistan's commitment to the rule of law. Political disagreement must be settled at the ballot box, not in a prison cell. We join the call for his release. #FreeImranKhanNow
Here’s why a former Pakistani Prime Minister has been declared a War on Terror prisoner of conscience. Imran Khan spent years challenging Pakistan’s subservience to America and its complicity in the War on Terror From the devastating war that killed over 50,000 people, to the rendition of Mullah Abdul Salam Zaeef and cases like Aafia Siddiqui, Khan’s stance exposed a deeper reality: America’s so-called war on terror has long depended on Pakistan’s cooperation. Today, we continue to call for his unconditional release.

🇵🇰 EXCLUSIVE: IMRAN KHAN'S SONS SAY THE PAKISTANI GOVERNMENT IS TRYING TO KILL THEIR FATHER! I spoke again with Qasim and Sulaiman Khan, and this conversation was the most heartbreaking. Not only is their father, the former Prime Minister of Pakistan, still in solitary confinement, but his three courageous sisters, Aleema, Uzma and Noreen, have now also been arrested And when @PTIofficial supporters hit the streets, many were arrested, beaten, and even killed! Imran Khan’s sons say they haven't spoken to their father in over 6 months, nobody has seen him for 2 months, and they're increasingly worried about his deteriorating health. I asked them the hardest question of all: Do they still believe they’ll ever see their father again? Qasim admitted, he has very little hope, but they will never stop fighting I told them both I wouldn't give up hope. And I meant it. @Kasim_Khan_1999

Governor Raj and emergencies are the clearest remnants of the colonial era. Every time Pakistan's ruling elite imposes them, it gives an insight into how they treat the country as a colony to rule, rob, and extract from, while building their lives, wealth, and families abroad. Pakistan needs another Independence 2.0; this time from those that look, talk and pray like them but behave like foreign colonizers.

Satire this sharp once aired on Pakistani national TV. The late Moin Akhtar & Masood Anwar knew laughter could carry truths that speeches couldn't. That space has now closed. When a nation finally understands the joke, and the jokers are silenced. #PressFreedom #Pakistan #Asimlaw

🚨🇵🇰 Imran Khan's family says Pakistani authorities are using a LEGAL maze to keep his sisters behind bars. And the statement raises allegations that go far beyond ordinary public-order detention... Aleema and Uzma Khan were acquitted on Feb 25 in cases later cited to justify their detention, while they had bail in other cases. They say Noreen Niazi had no criminal case registered against her. After the initial 30-day detention period expired, the women were not released despite no fresh MPO detention order being issued. Most seriously, the family says Aleema now faces terrorism proceedings and alleges another case is awaiting announcement, part of what it describes as an effort to keep her jailed. Rubina accuses authorities of using terrorism charges and repeated procedural delays to prevent their release, while questioning why the courts have not brought the detentions to an end. My mother, Noreen Niazi, my khalas Aleema Khan & Dr Uzma Khan have completed 30 days of unlawful detention under MPO — and still not released. Detention was unlawful from day one. Any extension is equally unlawful.

We’re now told Afghan front companies have been looting KP’s mines. That would be in a province that has been through 22 major military operations and more than 14,000 intelligence-based operations since 2002, where soldiers man the checkposts from Bajaur to Waziristan, and where nothing moves without the Army’s say-so. Somehow the Afghans slipped past all of it. Nobody making this claim has named a single company, and they don’t need to guess, because KP’s mining register is public. Every title in it names its holder, and there is no Afghan company in it. What it shows is the Army, under names that don’t say Army. FWO holds KP’s only working large-scale mine, 30 sq km of copper in North Waziristan, through a company called Degan Exploration Works. It pays the province 10% of the profits (some argue its actually 5%). The Army Welfare Trust has held limestone and shale leases in Nowshera since the early 1990s. Its Askari Cement held more Nowshera titles before it was folded into Fauji Cement, a Fauji Foundation company, in 2021. The army-run NLC applied for a lease in Swabi last month. The elite aligned civilians took their cut too. In 2024 the provincial titles committee approved a consortium with a firm called Sky Link Communication for 51 sq km of metals and stone, and another with BM General Order Suppliers for 30 sq km of river gold. In July, KP’s elected assembly ordered a review of every lease in the province. On October 11, Islamabad shut that assembly down and called it a fight against terrorism. Within a week the governor was inviting foreign companies to extract and sell KP’s minerals, and PEMRA had banned TV channels from showing terror attacks. Islamabad’s minerals investment forum opens on November 12. Terrorism and bad governance are the cover story. Governor’s rule is the theft of KP’s copper, gold, lithium, etc, plain and simple.
