Ponder this: Do Republicans actually *like* big deficits?
Well, they certainly *love* tax cuts for the rich, and those tax cuts inevitably produce deficitsβbecause, no matter what they say, Republicans *never* get serious about actually cutting spending. Just check history!β¦

No, I'm saying that your attempt to ignore years of Trump and the GOP repeatedly attacking our constitutional order by creating some fantasy of what you assert Democrats will do three years from now is a dishonest and partisan argument - and you, of course, know it.

I said (at length, in a book), Trump's base is full of people who are bored, resentful, angry about the outcome of their own lives. They were happy to punish others for that - until they realized Trump hates *them*, too.
They didn't see it until gas got expensive, but... okay π€·ββοΈ

So, if this turns out to be NOT true, and this guy has to face some sort of βjusticeβ for thisβ¦is that βlawfareβ?
Because a person in his position should face penalties if he canβt back up a statement like this with facts a court of law would accept.

BREAKING: Reuters reports the Trump White House is mapping out a path to govern without Congress if Democrats win on Tuesday.
Donβt tell me Trump isnβt fascist ever again!
Rob Lewis (@π ππΊπ¦) retweeted
Of course it does.
Wed the convo will be:
1. Massive turnout for Dβs
2. Massive rejection of R candidates by pure Indies
3. Defection from previous Trump voters/decline in R rural margins
4. Latinos sending a giant FAFO to Rs in the SW
I hear Dem operatives going on about how kitchen table issues matter. They do. But why the huge and disproportionate surge in black and Latino turnout? Surely it has to do with assaults on civil rights and immigrants. Democracy may not matter much to Dem operatives; it matters to lots of Dem voters.

Trump sued the Wall Street Journal over a story tying him to Jeffrey Epstein.
A judge tossed it.
He refiled.
Saturday, the same judge threw it out for good⦠and called the case "grasping at straws."
Lesson: anger isn't a legal strategy.

Nicolle Wallace criticizes Trump on telling sick Veterans they only get help if Republicans win Midterms: βIt is impossible to understate how depraved and sick that isβ
A lot has happened to @billmaher in the intervening years, but one thing that will always be true: AFAIK he was the first public figure to warn that Trump would not leave the White House peacefully if he lost an election.

The entire time I was an undergraduate - from the community college to Uof O worked full time in HR doing payroll for 400 people for a salary of 28,000. Between these two obligations I was also raising a small child on my own.
You donβt want to get into a who works harder debate with me.

Quite simply the most corrupt government in American history
A fish rots from the head down, and this whole government is the most rotten fucking fish America has ever seen
But don't worry, they're not paying the bill for it, you and your kids are
Vote like you understand this
A private prison company offered Minnesota an empty prison for 75 million dollars. The state said no. Then Trumpβs administration paid the same company almost 500 million for it.
The prison has sat empty in Appleton, Minnesota since 2010. Last year CoreCivic emailed the state and offered to sell it for 75 million, upgrades included. Minnesota passed. Fifteen months later, Homeland Security bought it for an ICE detention center at 495.6 million.
How could this be? You guessed it. CoreCivic gave half a million dollars to Trumpβs inaugural committee. And it still gets paid about 75 million a year to run the place.
Republicans love talking about fraud in Minnesota. JD Vance says his task force is all over it. So where are they on this one? I break it all down in todayβs show (link in reply).
Just going to say this again:
Trump told oil industry executives "Give me a billion dollars and I'll give you anything you want."
It happened. It was reported in the media.
I always thought soliciting bribes was a criminal offense.
And the oil industry is making record profits.

PPP loans that went to Republican politicians and their donors were all forgiven.
Replying to @Zaoist4 @RachelBitecofer
I never said you explicitly defended PPP loans. Iβm pointing out the double standard. Hundreds of billions in PPP loans were forgiven, including loans benefiting wealthy business owners, without the same outrage over personal responsibility. Yet when student borrowers seek relief, suddenly everyone becomes a fiscal conservative. Why is corporate debt forgiveness acceptable, but helping people obtain an education is treated as a moral failure?

For people fretting that Democrats may have encouraged another Dan Sullivan to run for Senate in Alaska, remember that Republicans stole 2 Supreme Court seats. If we need to use a few dirty tricks, so be it. You fight fire with fire. We are done rolling over.

I remember when Trump said heβd never heard of Project 2025. . .
Now weβre living it.
Trump's "Justice" Department is trying everything to interfere with Tuesday's elections.
Including maneuvers to *delay* the production of final results. The longer they can stall, the easier it is for them to create the impression that something is wrong. apple.news/ALiEAH3aNQEefP6riβ¦

A month ago, when everyone's focus was high prices and the Iran war, I suggested that THE issue that will ACTUALLY take Trump down, is corruption. I said this because he was so brazen, didn't care how it looked, and I didn't think he could or would stop. He hasn't.
Two weeks ago, I saw a graphic on MS Now that ranked corruption as THE top issue on voters' minds.
And a week ago, the folks at Gallup said that 89% of Americans say Trump's corruption is widespread -- 91% of Democrats, 90% of independents, and even 83% of Republicans! Highest US corruption measurement in Gallup history.
And now - America is #1 in perceived government corruption among democracies - GLOBALLY. The ONLY countries scoring higher, per Gallup, since 2023 are Lebanon, Peru, Ghana and Nigeria.
THAT is the company shithole Trump has put America in with. Not Canada. Not Norway. Not the UK.
Ghana and Nigeria.
America First - my ass.
F*ck you, Fox. F*ck you, MAGA.
