April 12, 2006 around 0900hrs headed to a meeting in Karbala, Iraq my vehicle was hit with an IED. Killing SPC Scott Bandhold & PFC Roland Calderon-Ascenio instantly. They were great soldiers & both left behind children. I think about them & that terrible day often. RIP
