In 2024, AFL sent all 50 states guidance on using two existing laws to stop illegal aliens and noncitizens from voting.
California had the legal tools. It chose not to use them.
Massive concession: Los Angeles election officials just told a federal court they have no independent way to verify citizenship beyond what voters attest. (They simply take their word for it.) Under federal law, only citizens may vote in federal elections. Yet California has not acted on the list of 20,000 suspected noncitizens or agreed to set aside their ballots. American citizens’ votes are being diluted in California.
In June 2024, America First Legal sent officials in all 50 states a plan for using the lawful tools they already have to confirm voters are citizens. Twelve days before the election, California still takes a voter's word that they're a citizen. For more than a decade, hundreds of sham marriages were allegedly arranged in Massachusetts to fraudulently obtain U.S. citizenship. Now, this alleged marriage fraud ring has been dismantled.
