Predictable? Bc ab unpredictability k liye Shrupanakha se Ram ki shaadi krwa de?
#Ramayana – ⭐️⭐️⭐️½
The most loved Indian epic receives a solid visual upgrade, with noticeable innovation in the action sequences and world-building. The makers clearly understood the challenge: they couldn’t over-improvise the dramatic portions, yet they also couldn’t skip them. As a result, the film feels predictable whenever it shifts into drama mode, especially in scenes that heavily emphasise virtues and family values.
That said, the film works largely because of its casting and performances.
@TheNameIsYash is outstanding, delivering a menacing screen presence that truly dominates. @niteshtiwari22 has written the role brilliantly, focusing on Ravana’s willpower, multi-faceted personality, and stubbornness. The scene in which Ravana’s ten voices speak stands out as a highlight.
#RanbirKapoor fits the role perfectly. His calm and composed demeanour works in the film’s favour, and he receives the right heroic elevation at the right moments. @Sai_Pallavi92 delivers a strong emotional performance as Sita while also showcasing her valour. @Rakulpreet is effective as Surpanakha as well.
The VFX shines particularly in the Jatayu sequence during the pre-climax. Rama’s encounter with the sea of rakshasas also gives him the strongest elevation in the entire film, and the war sequences have been impressively reimagined.
On the downside, the background score by A.R. Rahman and Hans Zimmer doesn’t fully work in a few places (though the songs are good).
Overall, this most beloved story deserves the upgrade. It successfully introduces the epic of Rama, Sita, and Ravana to a new generation. 👍

Oh, poor you. Imagine the hatred and discrimination you'd face if you came here. I just hope you were paid well enough to post this.

Ramayan movie is made for Hindu’s not for converted rice bag of Tamil Nadu. This also the reason Lord Rama trusted monkeys over Tamilians.

At least someone from the industry has the balls to defend what’s right
Accepting roles, working in South Indian cinema, gaining recognition and opportunities here, and then years later criticising the same industry, its stories and cultural traditions is becoming an unfortunate pattern.
Every actor has the right to express an opinion. But there is a difference between constructive criticism and selectively looking down upon an industry that welcomed you.
#Telugucinema and #SouthIndian cinema have their own cultural identity, traditions and storytelling values. What may seem unusual to someone from another region can be perfectly normal within our culture.
Respect should be mutual. You cannot celebrate the opportunities and later disrespect the culture behind them.
Constructive criticism is always welcome. Selective criticism and cultural superiority are not.
Respect the industry that respected you.

My team shared this video with me. The young girl’s plea to continue her education is truly heart-touching. I request the Kadapa Collector to personally step in, counsel her father, and ensure she is allowed to pursue her studies without hindrance. Don’t worry, Amma, I stand with you. Study as much as you wish - I will support your journey completely. @OfficeofNL, please pursue.

When someone commits a heinous crime, the first response should be empathy & an attempt to understand the larger problem. Not finding a convenient scapegoat in cinema.
It is becoming increasingly clear that your concern is not for the victims or their families, but that you're using a horrific tragedy as a dirty excuse to settle your personal scores.
This is especially directed at those failed frustrated jobless male/female actors, few directors, producers & parasites, who suddenly appoint themselves as social reformers whenever an opportunity arises to take a dig at someone else's work.
A tragedy deserves empathy 🙏, not opportunism. Learn the difference.
