I'll be hosting the screening of this important film tomorrow evening in Kidlington. Please join us if you're able to. Free entry open to everyone.
Interesting conference with some great insights from experts and campaigners looking to reduce our impact on the planet. Some really good conversations with fellow local leaders and activists. Looking forward to working together with some of them. Nice vegan lunch too!
Just goes to show what looks lies in the heart of many Labour MPs, even those who claim to be socially responsible while in post. In Tom's case it's apparently a vacuum waiting to be filled with money. See also Peter Mandelson, Ed Balls, and of course Tony Blair.
After six wonderful years at UK Music, I'm joining Palantir UK as Senior Vice President.
Palantir is the most interesting company on the planet, doing work of real consequence: helping Britain and its allies defend themselves, helping police protect our citizens and helping NHS staff get patients treated and home sooner.
London is comfortably its largest centre outside the US, home to more than one in six employees, the highest proportion among the world's largest technology companies.
We have challenges. Some criticism is propaganda. Some raises legitimate questions about large technology companies and sovereign control. Both require answers.
Part of my role will be to correct false information while working with our engineers to ensure privacy, security and respect for sovereignty are at the heart of everything we do.

The Balaclava Black Shirts might just do better to kick themselves out of the country, rather than everyone of colour, if they want to make Britain great again...

Is politics for profit or the people?
βThe public wonβt forgive us [Labour] if we miss this chanceβ - even those within Labour can see it's shocking that Burnham is rowing back on another key promise.
Democracy should not be for sale.

This is a thing of genius. If it wasn't an unintended parody of itself there are so many people who made it one for them. I think if I'm honest I like the one with the Benny Hill music best. If you're a millennial, ask your mum.

Annie Jacobsen's silly book that says #AafiaSiddiqui was making airborne 100% fatal rabies is 1 mistake after another. TikTok wouldn't let me correct her so here it is... @Aafiamovement
So the billionaire owner of a football club plaything is in favour of billionaires making even more money out of football?? Who'd have thought it??

Under a Binface government, anyone who doesnβt accept human-made climate change as fact will be sent back to school, from Year 1 right the way to A Levels, to see if anything goes in the second time round. #VoteBinface
There had been many previous hoax announcements of Bill's demise and I hoped this was another one. Sadly not. We've lost another wonderful character and a great environmentalist. He'll be sorely missed.
A renegade polymath with binoculars and a beard , Bill was invariably funny and occasionally furious . He loved birds and loathed those who harmed them . He was delightfully unpredictable , sparky , smart and at times a bit spiky . Critically he really knew his stuff , and his passion was true - he didnβt just pick up his binoculars on telly , he went birding whenever he could . So he was genuine and thatβs why we loved him , he never needed a script , and took scant interest in any he was given . He didnβt like rules and often neglected to play by them . This may have frustrated the serious and the worthy but it always amused his audience - he was an utter joy to be with . I recall finding a Black Woodpecker in a damp Dutch park with him once , he gazed at it intently , sighed , put down his bins , turned to me and just smiled . A massive grin . No words , just a beautiful childlike bliss . That says all you need to know about Bill Oddie .
Sadly weβve not only lost a goodie , weβve lost one of the besties .

What are you doing @andyburnham @Ed_Miliband?
No more βserious concernsβ, no more pointless letters meekly requesting Israeli Govt - operating in a genocidal frenzy - halts its continuing crimes against Palestinian people.
Take Action. Now.

Urgent call to the international community to take immediate action to stop Israel's violence and prevent pogroms by settler militias and the Israeli army across the West Bank.
In recent days, violence by settler militias, enabled and supported by the Israeli army, has escalated across the West Bank, including the torching and destruction of Palestinian property, and the forced expulsion of families and communities. These attacks have been met with silence and inaction from much of the international community, allowing the violence to continue and intensify.
Today's event in the village of Tell (Area B) when a settlers' "tour" in the village ended with the killing of at least 4 Palestinians and 1 settler and several people injured is leading to escalated violence in the area with settlers, ministers, and Knesset members calling for further revenge attacks which already started across the West Bank. Experience shows that these events can escalate quickly into mass pogroms when met with silence.
We call the international community to act now. Immediate pressure must be placed on Israel to stop further attacks, prevent pogroms and further killings, and ensure the protection of Palestinians, in accordance with Israel's obligations under international law.

We really can:
- have decent homes for all
- replace oil with sun and wind
- have enough doctors, nurses and care workers
- refuse to support the murder of children
We just need to elect people like Mamdani and Bernie in the US and Zack and the Green Party in the UK.
Dear @BBCiPlayer I know a few years ago Oxfordshire lost its dedicated local news channel, but now it seems even South Today is being subsumed by South East Today on your catch-up service! I think someone might have mis-filed yesterday's evening news broadcast please update it.

Good to be involved in a face to face debate with other parties, although a shame that two of them didn't actually show their faces. Worth noting that I was the only actual local leader that was there in person.

The UK must immediately and unequivocally suspend support for the US military.
The Government have tried to appease him, then they tried to say they're standing up to him.
Words aren't enough - it's time for action.
