Not enough red state dems are saying they want to give Cheesecake Factory a Michelin star
A lot of people believe with Turek that Mods and Centrist Dems are arguing to withdraw healthcare from trans people And it's more that they believe that Senators from +10 R states should be allowed to have stances that they'll never get to act on because of how the Senate works

The red meat has to be red meat. Also the dem candidates in the state might truly believe more conservative shit. Maybe even some heinous shit. Does it increase the likelihood of a liberal Supreme Court? If yes, vote for them.

But on this topic, I have seen people say that “sports by sex at birth” is the red meat to republicans that a red state candidate has to do…. That’s not red meat! Thats what the Dems in the state also believe (although it’s much closer to a push)

I see interracial marriage used as an example sometimes on don’t just follow what’s popular, bc it was still net unpopular in the late 80s, but thanks to the beauty of the Warren court, that shit didn’t matter for decades

Is this a policy Dems should act on, no. Politics of it are not exactly a mystery though. Every Dem senator improves the chance of a liberal SCOTUS being possible. Thats kinda the whole ball game on civil rights and shit like gun control, wealth taxes, etc.

You want to prove Democrats aren't abandoning trans people and never will? Condemn Josh Turek.

Sports by sex at birth is what a majority of dem voters believe (every single poll shows this) and public insurance supporting gender affirming care is pretty much a push among Dems, depending on youth v adult, procedure, etc. Should a Dem Congress act on it, no.

Politicians also believe it. In hilarious ways. One of Manchin’s anti CTC expansion in BBB arguments was that it wasn’t truly temporary—“once you have an entitlement politicians don’t let it expire”—at the same time the previous expansion recently expired
Ethics aside, this take could use some contact with reality. Biden's expanded CTC didn't motivate recipients to vote to maintain it. Trump offered $5000 checks and it hurt him in the polls. The empirical claim that welfare creates single issue voters just doesn't hold up.

But also it does get at the most obvious thing ever… Trump is only around people blowing him all day long. No one has been in a bigger echo chamber in our country’s history
