Hi Helen 👋 Gay man here, one of those #LGBwithouttheT ones. ‘Queer theory’ is anti-gay. It would have us believe that lesbians have penises and gay men vaginas. Do I need to say more? In case I do: most well known proponents of ‘Queer Theory’ seem to have rather dodgy views on sexual relationships between minors and adults. Yikes. (See vid Graham linked) Two good reasons to not want to have anything to do with it. Another reason: under the guise of ‘queer’ / ‘gender’ kids and teens who don’t fit in with sexist stereotypes are now supposedly ‘born in the wrong body’ (🙄) and need a lifetime of drastic and irreversible medical treatment and potentially surgeries to be their ‘authentic self’ when most would simply grow up to be L, G or B if let alone. The recent #CassReview has shown there is no solid evidence base for these radical interventions to begin with. We’re also hearing from L, G and B people who went down that path and realised it was away for them to escape homophobia. They are now trying to pick up the pieces of their lives but some without their genitals / breasts / wombs. It’s a tragedy that the 2000s ushered in a new form of medical gay conversion. Russel T Davies, however, is one of those pompous grandstanding virtue-signalling gay men (plenty of them I’m afraid) who is happy to attack L, G and B people simply standing up for their rights to freedom of assembly, to advocate on the basis of being same-sex attracted, and to call out gay medical conversion under the guise of ‘gender’. At the same time he pushes all this ‘queer’ / ‘gender’ stuff through his TV show aimed at, among others, youngsters. That’s what Graham means by grooming. So my question to you… what is it that’s not dawning on you yet? And just as I reject the word ‘queer’ (it’s still an ugly slur to many), I very much reject ‘queer theory’ #GayNotQueer
