Replying to @andyburnham
@andyburnham @Ed_Miliband it occurs to me that if citizens can now be arrested for giving water or food to an anti genocide supporter there is actually nowhere for a government to hide when providing weapons, intel and political cover to those carrying out the genocide.
This guy absolutely reeks of MI5 plant.

@AdrianRamsay warns Greens at a 'crossroads', says there is a risk under @ZackPolanski party 'digs in' with 'small groups of people on the hard left' going round trying to influence how parties are run -
He is not calling for Polanski to go, but clearly calling on him to act after controversial conference motion -
Really worth listening to Ramsay, who has been in the party since 1998, make his arguments -

Read this. The Met Police are now making up their own laws, keeping those made up laws a secret and threatening you for breaking them, even though they won't tell you what they are. What do you even say to this?

This is the point that you suddenly realise that our terrorism laws have got absolutely nothing to do with protecting us from terrorists, but actually to protect the terrorists; the ones currently conducting genocide in Gaza.
It really does make my chest swell with pride to see our brave boys and girls in blue, putting their lives on the line, yet again to remove hardened, 94 year-old criminals from our streets.
We can all sleep safe tonight.

The grip of totalitarianism tightens....
A Section 35 dispersal order will be in place in parts of central London from 8am to 11pm today.
This is following information that a group are planning to attend an event and express support for a proscribed organisation, which is an offence under the Terrorism Act.
The order will apply to the area outlined in the below map and means officers can order a person to leave the area or face arrest, where certain conditions apply.
Updates on today's policing operation will be posted on this thread.

Every time an African country elects a government that tries to keep more of its own resources, Western media discovers a "democracy deficit."
Every time an Asian nation builds technology that competes with Western products, Western governments discover a "security threat."
Every time a Latin American country charts an economic path outside the Washington Consensus, Western financial institutions discover a "stability risk."
The pattern is precise and it has been precise for two centuries.
The West is not afraid of authoritarian governments.
It has funded dozens of them.
The West is not afraid of economic mismanagement.
It has imposed structural adjustment programs that produced exactly that.
What produces the alarm, the specific, urgent, editorial-board-meeting alarm, is independence.
A poor country making its own choices with its own resources for its own people without asking permission.
That is the danger.
That has always been the danger.
Everything else is the vocabulary chosen to describe it in ways that don’t require honesty.

👉🏿 I was born under a dictatorship and have spent a great deal of my adult life denouncing authoritarian regimes. I am deeply shocked to read the threatening statement issued by the Met Police UK. Threatening to arrest people for providing "logistical support" to peaceful demonstrators is the kind of threatening statement we are used to getting from the Ortega-Murillo dictatorship in Nicaragua. This is not what I expect from PM Andy Burnham’s Government. The UK is supposed to be a democracy, where freedom of speech is a pillar of society. Churchill’s words remind us that a true civilisation relies entirely on these liberties to maintain democratic accountability. Criminalising and proscribing Palestine Action as a terrorist organisation is a shameful authoritarian overreach.

If this doesn't make people realise the UK is a totalitarian regime, but then nothing will.
Yet we are told to be scared of taken over by Russia. It's our own government we need to be afraid of.
Anyone planning to attend a demonstration in support of Palestine Action in the vicinity of the US Embassy on Saturday, 31 October will face arrest as part of a robust policing operation.
Expressing support for the group is an offence under the Terrorism Act following its proscription in June 2025, a decision upheld by the Court of Appeal in June 2026.

This is historic!
Dockworkers across 5 continents and 113 ports are striking today to demand an end to their workplaces being used to transport bombs.
This is what our rulers fear most: workers coming together to liberate humanity from capitalism and imperialism.

I cannot believe that people seriously offer this as a political strategy. The Labour Party has shown itself to be a neoliberal party committed to representing and protecting the interests of the rich elite, time and time again. We need to vote for genuine alternatives.
