Today, I'm proud to share the first cut of my opening prologue, from my WIP animated feature: 𝙲𝚘𝚍𝚎 𝙽𝚊𝚖𝚎: 𝙶.𝙴.𝙻.𝙰.𝚃.𝙾. The logline reads as follows: "When a young boy discovers that his beloved gelato truck-driving grandfather is actually a retired intergalactic spy, he's suddenly thrust into the mission of a lifetime — rescuing his kidnapped parents from the galaxy's most dangerous villain, armed with nothing but a converted gelato truck, a rogue alien with a vendetta, and every lesson his grandfather ever taught him between scoops." Crafted with care using the following hybrid creative tools: 🍦 Concept inspired by my 90-year-old gelato-selling grandfather ✍️ Original screenplay written by [human] me via @finaldraftinc 🖼️ Image Generations via @OpenAI's GPT Image 2 🤖 Video Generations via Seedance 2.0. on @Scenario_gg and @mitte_ai 🎶 Music Composed via @TrebloApp 📼 Sequencing and editing via @Wondershare @Filmora_Editor 📹 Upscaled to 4K via @topazlabs 📂 File storage and asset management via @Dropbox Further works to be completed: 🎹 Soundtrack re-score via @FL_Studio 📺 Pacing, coloring and video editing 🇮🇹 Bonus points if you can translate the song lyrics and identify the symbolism 😉 Here's a quick look at the nuances of my workflow 👇

Make Box Sets Great Again! I’ve collected some extraordinary sets over the years, but this 40-year Anniversary collection for Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory has to be in my top 3 🍫🎬

Put in another solid 5-hours of work last night. Translated to 5-minutes of footage. I’ve basically worked out that I’m consistently averaging a minute of output for every hour of input. How does your efficiency stack up? Do you have an input/output ratio?

A few of my favorite character model sheets from tonight's production "sprint," made with @OpenAI's GPT Image 2.5.

Did BytePlus recently modify their moderation policy and criteria? Getting an insane amount of copyright-flagged rejections, particularly around audio. No idea why.

Honestly, when I saw what Seedance could do, the script elevated. Being able to "see" and "hear" these characters in real-time gave me the chance to write and re-write dialogue visually, once I understood exactly who these characters were. It's been a game-changer.
Hi James 👋 how much of that old script survived once you saw what Seedance could actually do? Seven hours straight on a Friday is a proper session, hope your wrists forgave you.

Nailed it, and absolutely 🤝
Three artists and a year for Monkaa, then one person and seven hours for five minutes. The best detail is that the script sat waiting all those years until the tools finally caught up with it

About a decade ago, I bought a copy of “Monkaa.” Monkaa was an open-sourced @Blender project, featuring the most adorable blue monkey I’d ever seen. Going through file after file and tutorial after tutorial, it was my first taste of “I can actually do this one day.” But the productivity scale was still so intimidating. Made with Blender for 3D modeling and animation, and GIMP for texturing, this 5-minute short was created by the Mumbai-based studio Weybec, which was founded by a core team of three artists (Pratik Solanka/Solanki, Nita Ravalji, and Niyal). It took them approximately a year from start to finish to produce. Fast forward to 2026, and I’m so bloody grateful for Seedance 2.5 and AI video models. Last Friday, I cut 5 minutes of footage in 7-hours straight of hard work. Sure, I had done a bunch of prep work (and the script was written many years back). But that kind-of efficiency (not to mention, “one-man-band studios”) was an impossible concept going back a decade. What started as a steep learning curve and a pipe dream has become an imagination-fueled reality. And now, it’s an addiction I never want to shake. I’ve never felt more creative, and every day is a new adventure experimenting with this magical technology.

Been considering upping my monthly Seedance credits. Thoughts? Where do you guys cut yourselves off? I could invest my life’s savings if I’m not careful 😅

12 SECONDS!? 😱
22x faster video generation than Seedance 2.5 😭😭 This 10-second video (below) took just 12 seconds to generate! FLUX 3 Max is actually insane. You can now try it on @fal!
13
How did you guys not see the writing on the wall here? I’ve explicitly gone out of my way to collect/own all my most beloved media for exactly this reason.
“Disney+ will now have ads on every plan.” You know what? Where the hell is my DVD player? I’m ready to go back to buying movies, owning them forever, and watching them in peace.

Hello, my name's Daley. I'm a co-founder and director at Ludo Studio in Brisbane. You might know me as Thor's puny weak roommate Darryl, and from making Bluey at Ludo, I also created A24's Talk to Me with Danny and Michael Philippou. At Ludo, we also made Robbie Hood for SBS and, more recently, Thou Shalt Not Steal for Stan with Dylan River. Here's the first teaser poster for Allen, Netflix's first Australian feature film. It's also Ludo's first live-action feature film. I'd love to talk more about the film here soon, but just quickly - it's about a character who believes the best thing that ever happened to them has already happened. I know I'm too obsessed with the past. And too much of a good thing is a bad thing. I rewatch movies I loved as a kid, listen to old music and read old books and want to play the same board games I did when I was ten. I'm writing this while l at a graded, boxed Ninja Turtle toy I just got off eBay, sitting above my old HeroQuest and Nightmare board games, next to an unopened, mint-condition packet of Pocahontas SkyBox trading cards VGC. I spend a lot of time thinking about the past, and one thing in particular that happened to me a long time ago. I think I surround myself with all these things because they're a bit of a Portkey to get back there, while another part is trying very hard to grow up. We tried to make a film about that that everyone could watch together. I'd love to talk more about it soon but if you love Cheezels, this is for you. We made the whole film here on the coasts here in Queensland - even in Coolum. I'm incredibly grateful to Netflix for giving us the opportunity to make it here - and set it here too. We got to work with so many brilliant Australian creatives, in front of and behind the camera, from caters, to transport to costume and make-up and puppeteers to VFX artists and produces and an extraordinary local crew. To create this with them has been one of the best parts of the whole thing. I'd love to talk more about it and especially the people who brought it to life, here soon. In the meantime, here's our first teaser poster. Thanks so much for reading. Sincerely.

JUST IN: Elon Musk unveils the Tesla Roadster by launching it off a ramp before the car flipped in midair and safely landed on the ground. The car is a collaboration between Tesla and SpaceX. One of the most insane things I've ever seen.
