After the kleptocrats and the white nationalists who are currently in power…the greatest threat to our democracy has been the single-issue voter who will self-righteously stand on principle, but who is personally unaffected by any election’s outcome.

The fetid stink on Trump was already catching up when he started a war of choice and that was the last straw. What's coming on Tuesday was set in stone then and the race has basically been static since then. Shorter: Most of the country hates him and we're about to let him know.

OBAMA: The president wasn't even mad. About The Saddam Hussein comparison. That part didn't bother him. But he was very upset about The Cheesecake Factory. He took great umbrage. He said I didn't understand the work of the artisans in the White House. They mobilized a whole of government response to that joke. Not to inflation, but to that joke.

"Do you worry [Abdul El-Sayed] is a bit too left wing to win in Michigan?" Michigan voter "At this point what do we have to worry about? Anything but what we have. We're on our way to hell so at this point socialist, socialise, social, dont matter to me, lower my cost of living"

I crunched the partisan split of early voting in the states that have party registration. Data speaks for itself. Big ass wave a’coming.

The juxtaposition of “trust the judgment of the woman who looked away as her daughter was raped” and “how dare you insult the Cheesecake Factory” is…bracing.

ACTON REPSONDS: @amyactonoh responds to an attack ad featuring her estranged mother, who calls Acton a liar. The two have not spoken since 1978, when after Acton disclosed she was sexually abused between the ages of 9 and 12, her stepfather was arrested on rape charges. Acton’s mother backed her husband against the charges and lost custody of Acton and her brother.

TALARICO: When I left the hospital, I went to Walgreens to pick up my first 30 day supply of insulin—this new medicine that I now needed to live, and it cost me $684. I didn't have that kind of money, so I put it on a credit card. So many Texans with diabetes can't afford their insulin, can't afford the medicine that they need to live. And it's all because big pharma has a monopoly..

.@JamesTalarico: My decision to stay home for a week sent my opponent and his conspiracy theorists spiraling. I opened up social media and learned I had apparently dropped out of the race, had flown to a mental hospital in Ohio — that I had died. False claims got millions of views online — and this is an example of what I call the ‘rage economy.’ Billionaires who own these platforms get rich, we all get angry, and nobody’s life gets any better. Conspiracy theories don’t put food on the table, put gas in the tank, or improve our communities. I’m going to stay focused on the very real problems facing Texans.

Talarico: I am tired of us being divided into teams left versus right, blue versus red, urban versus rural. The truth is we're all on the same team.  How many people here have a an elderly parent or grandparent who needs care? So do I.  How many people here struggle to afford the high price of everything these days? So do I.  How many people here know what it means to carry the burden of student debt, or credit card debt or medical debt? So do I  The truth is that we are all on the same team. We are far more the same than we are different.

I truly wish the data said otherwise, but all signs in Virginia point to an electoral wipeout of historic proportions, nearly on par with the 2025 debacle. Our best hope is that this is a unique thing contained to VA because the state has shifted so far to the Left so rapidly, but it’s honestly quite hard to imagine Virginia going Blue by double digits and Rs potentially losing both 1st District and possibly even the 5th, and a wave of that magnitude NOT showing up anywhere else in the country. As far as Virginia is concerned, this is most likely going to be the ugliest midterm election of my lifetime. The silver lining is that we’re seeing mixed messages elsewhere in the country which *may* (emphasis on may) suggest that this will be an uneven Blue Wave.
