Last night, Republicans lost the U.S. House, the U.S. Senate, and my home state of Texas, a conservative cornerstone for more than three decades, because our party forgot the basic rules of coalition politics:   1. Add, don’t subtract 2. Be likeable 3. Do what you promised 4. Character & integrity still matter   Time to turn the page and rebuild. Read my full thoughts in the @WSJ: wsj.com/opinion/republicans-…

The Original Sin in Texas is the corrupt deal in which the Dunn/Wilks Republican cabal decided that Paxton was to survive impeachment no matter what, Paxton's guilt, Dan Patrick's complicity, and Abbott's silence. #txlege
I have some sympathy for Gov. Abbott getting swept under by the undertow, but Abbott never denounced Bo French, and he never denounced Paxton. Further, he allowed the corrupt deal that spared Paxton conviction during his impeachment trial. So only so much sympathy. #txlege

If Dems are smart, they’ll govern from the center as the vast majority of Texans and Americans want - good schools, good jobs, good roads. If they do that, they’ll be in power for the next 50 years. The party of the fringe (MAGA, DSC) doesn’t get anything done for normal folks.

A political party that is morally and intellectually bankrupt deserves the rebuke of the American people. It is now time to make America good again. That is an endeavor to which all Americans can contribute, for we are not Democrats, Republicans or Independents. We are humans, and the things that unite us far exceed the things that divide us. We are the caretakers of the American experiment, and the experiment has been rejuvenated tonight.

Tonight’s outcome isn’t about placing faith in Democrats or socialist principles; it’s about holding Republicans accountable for betraying their promises. All Republicans had to do was: 1. put Americans First 2. not start another war 3. prosecute sex traffickers

Let’s bring back this type of leadership…
Pres George H.W. Bush was the worst person EVER to interview…I interviewed him many times and he would NEVER take credit for his many great accomplishments…he always gave everyone else credit…I would then point out specifically what he did and he would say something like, ‘anyone could do that”…he was a great great and humble man….but lousy interview…and yes, I admired him immensely

All it takes in politics is to not be crazy, do what you say you are going to do, and then get out… actually serve the ones who voted you in, and not the other way around. Maybe one of these days conservatives will learn.

Governor DeSantis BLASTS Kristi Noem for bungling mass deportations and turning it into a shit show for her own glory. DeSantis BLASTS Congressmen like Byron Donalds for making millions on the stock market. DeSantis BLASTS Alina Habba for getting a $10 million government contract and securing a presidential pardon for her boyfriend. “If the people in office don't display some civic virtue about public service as a sacrifice. It's not to use the public office for private gain. I declined the pension in Congress. I declined the health care. I didn't trade the stocks. And I believe in congressional term limits. I mean, imagine if you went to the American people and actually tried to get that done. That's not right or left. That's something that a lot of people realize.. These guys work for themselves. They should be working for you.”

Trump makes a last ditch effort claiming he will end $4 billion per year aid to Israel only bc he knows Republicans are going to get slaughtered today in the elections. Last year, my amendment to cut aid to Israel only received 6 votes in the House bc all the AIPAC funded Congressmen refused to stop funding Israel even though Israel is so rich they have state funded healthcare and college while Americans financially suffer! All while Israel has murdered over 22,000 children in Gaza using U.S. military weapons and funding. One of the big reasons Republicans are going to lose today is because Trump promised to make America great again and delivered Israel First instead. But here’s the spoiler. Most Democrats including the very likely incoming Democrat Speaker of the House Hakeem Jeffries is heavily funded by AIPAC too. Most of Congress is on both sides! Trump’s announcement today is too little too late!!!
BREAKING: President Trump says the U.S. will end roughly $4 billion in annual aid to Israel by the end of the year, revealing that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu agreed to the decision. “Because they don’t need it,” Trump said during an exclusive interview on @foxandfriends, describing Israel as a thriving country that no longer requires American financial assistance. Trump also said Netanyahu raised the idea of ending the aid himself. He emphasized that Israel remains one of America’s most reliable allies as the two countries prepare for a major shift in their financial relationship. Day late and $4B short @POTUS
BREAKING: President Trump says the U.S. is cutting off roughly $4 billion in annual aid to Israel by the end of the year. Trump says he and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have already reached an agreement, arguing Israel no longer needs the financial assistance. The president also questions why the U.S. continues providing billions while facing political criticism over the funding, pointing to Democrats who have made American aid to Israel a campaign issue. But the move doesn't mean an end to U.S. military cooperation with Israel. Trump says the country can still purchase American weapons. See what the current agreement requires: foxnews.com/politics/trump-s…

It's crazy that the amount of money spent during election cycles could literally fix most of the fucking problems politicians campaign on.

🚨🚨Trump is preparing to launch a NUCLEAR sneak attack against Iran! 🚨🚨My research and sources confirm that Tucker Carlson is 100% correct that President Trump is seriously considering the use of nuclear weapons against Iran’s enrichment sites. 🚨🚨The science is horrifyingly clear, when you bomb weapons grade uranium with a nuclear weapon, it creates a radioactive cloud hundreds of times more deadly than Chernobyl. 🚨🚨if Trump gives a green light for launching a offensive nuclear strike on ANY country, his cabinet must immediately remove him via the 25th amendment. 🚨🚨The nuclear armed nation of Pakistan has also threatened to nuke Israel if any nuclear sneak attack is launched on Iran..

Under pressure from Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, the Trump administration may be within days of launching a nuclear strike on Iran. The target would be Pickax Mountain in central Iran, where Israeli intelligence claims the Iranian government has restarted its nuclear enrichment program. No conventional weapon in the American arsenal can penetrate 300 feet of solid granite to destroy the tunnels where enrichment is supposedly taking place. The only military option is a nuclear strike. Netanyahu has been pushing hard for one. “Bibi calls Trump about it every day,” says an informed observer. Netanyahu is cornered and desperate. After last week’s election results, he can’t form a government unless Trump intervenes directly in Israeli politics and brokers a deal with other parties that gives Netanyahu 61 seats in the Knesset. Otherwise, he is out as prime minister and on his way to ignominy, investigations and possibly jail. Netanyahu must stay close to Trump. He needs this war. To that end, he’s applied maximum pressure to his closest allies in the administration, including Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and CENTCOM commander Brad Cooper. Both oppose a negotiated settlement to the war they’ve so grievously mismanaged; both are pushing to restart major combat operations. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and CIA director John Ratcliffe are also following Netanyahu’s lead, as are leaders of the Democratic Party. In a recent meeting on the subject, former president Barack Obama said he opposes the current Iran peace deal being drafted in Doha. The rest of America’s longtime allies in the Middle East are terrified by the prospect of more war. On September 27th, Netanyahu flew secretly to Abu Dhabi to enlist the UAE in his lobbying effort for a final attack on Iran. The Emiratis refused. After eight months of conflict, Gulf economies are teetering. So are global energy and fertilizer markets. They won’t recover soon. Globally, there are a total of about 850 supertankers used to transport oil from producers to the rest of the world. In October alone, 11 of them were badly damaged in Hormuz. At this pace, a global depression is imminent. A nuclear strike would radically accelerate the destruction. Fallout from a ground explosion at Pickax Mountain would contaminate the Persian Gulf, poisoning the water supply for 100 million people. And those are just some of the immediate consequences for the region. The rest of the world is every bit as exposed. No country other than the United States has ever used a nuclear weapon in war. Some would like to. An American nuclear attack on Iran would set a new precedent. The Russians have already told at least two other governments that an American nuclear strike on Iran would free them to use nuclear weapons against Ukraine. Pakistan and India would be tempted to do the same against each other, as would North Korea against Seoul. After the first nuclear strike, World War Three is inevitable. That war would be short and final. We’ve been sleepwalking toward this moment for months. Since February, the administration has quietly rewritten America’s nuclear doctrine to make first use of so-called “battlefield nukes” easier and therefore more likely. No one in Washington in either party seems bothered by this. Now we’re on the brink of it. Close observers say Trump is likely to decide by next weekend whether or not to use nuclear weapons. That would be November 7, six days from now. To his credit, he’s hesitating. At the moment, Trump is listening to his vice president, JD Vance, and to his envoy and friend Steve Witkoff, both of whom argue a deal with Iran can be made. They’re right, though it won’t be simple. The Iranians are famously frustrating to negotiate with under any circumstances, and elements of that government have become more radical since Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and his family were killed in February. After decades of isolation, even relatively moderate Iranian leaders seem confused by how decisions are made in the West. (There is a widespread belief in Tehran, for example, that the United States government controls Israel.) But overall, people who have spoken to decision-makers in Iran say there is consensus there that more war is bad for everyone and a deal is worth making. One group that hasn’t been consulted so far is the global population — the hundreds of millions of people who will be killed along with their children if Trump is pushed by Netanyahu into launching a nuclear strike next week. Now would be the time for them to speak up.
