Wrapped a strong panel at @USChamber Capital Markets Summit alongside Citadel, Carta, JP Morgan & a former SEC Commissioner. As a GP at Flintlock Capital, markets aren’t zero-sum. We all win when the pie grows — by reducing friction so innovation can move at full speed. Stronger capital formation benefits everyone.

A nuclear renaissance is essential if the U.S. is serious about delivering clean, carbon-free, reliable and supremely energy-dense baseload to power artificial intelligence, data centers, and the broader skyrocketing demand for electricity across multiple industrial and economic sectors - #geopolitics
BREAKING IN NYC: WORLD'S BIGGEST BANKS PLEDGE SUPPORT FOR NUCLEAR Banks and funds totaling $14 TRILLION in assets have just signed an unprecedented statement in support of nuclear power. They'll be presenting the pledge to support the goal of tripling nuclear THIS MORNING at the Rockefeller Center in New York City to kick off NY Climate Week. A few of the names: Bank of America Barclays BNP Paribas Brookfield Citi Credit Agricole Goldman Sachs Morgan Stanley Rothschild & Co The pledge comes after Microsoft signs deal to buy $16 billion in electricity from a revived Three Mile Island nuclear plant alone over 20 years to fuel its AI ambitions. I'll be covering live today from the top of the Rockefeller Center, famously built with oil profits, as this unprecedented show of support for the next great energy source overcomes long-held financing barriers.

In WWII the US built 18,000 ships in a year. Enemies couldn't keep pace. Last year, our Navy built 8, and retired 12. China now has 250X our shipbuilding capacity. How do we maintain naval deterrence? Smaller, weaponized autonomous vessels. Ep 95 w/ @MavrookasD of @Saronic.

Our Small Business Council Chair @JoeShamess in @washingtonpost on how the tax policy debate impacts small biz owners: “The small-business community has been in a bit of a whipsaw between administrations and between different parties in Congress. There’s an absolute need for some level of certainty to return to the business community. One of the ways that you do that is through tax policy.” washingtonpost.com/business/…

Thank you @washingtonpost for focusing on this and quoting from our discussion. Most people won't believe you if you tell them the United States taxes innovation. Since 2022, R&D expenses are no longer able to be 100% deducted. They must be amortized. There is a bill in the Senate that passed the house with over 350 votes that would provide a 3 year extension (back to 2023) for the 100% deduction of R&D expenses. It would also bring back 100% bonus depreciation. The US is the unequivocal innovation capital of the world. We have the best universities, infrastructure, capital markets, AND entrepreneurs. We cannot tax innovation. We must incentivize it. In China, they provide 175% deductibility for R&D related expenses. Every American business dedicated to growth does R&D. This is universal and apolitical. @USChamber Free Enterprise! washingtonpost.com/business/…
