This is exactly it. The pampered sons of the gulf won’t change it though
This is an incredible video. Deep down, we’ve always known this. Qatari officials ADMITTED that America forces the Arab nations to spend their money on useless projects and lavish sports tournaments. Arab money is held in US banks, and the Arabs have to ask permission from the Americans whenever they wish to withdraw and spend their own money. They’re like a 16-year-old kid asking their Dad for permission to use his credit card. If an Arab ruler wanted to spend his billions on new factories, shipyards, and new strategic industrial projects, America would refuse to give him permission. But if the Arab ruler wanted to spend his billions on new music concerts, tennis tournaments, and luxurious hotels, then America would give him permission to spend the money. America doesn’t want you to be strategically independent of them, because they would lose their leverage and control over you. They want these small, divided, and weak Arab states to be dependent on the US forever. America uses modern industry and comfort to hold you hostage. These golden handcuffs ensure that you will never defy the Americans. Your electrical grid, antibiotics, refrigerators, and machinery are all dependent on US supply chains. If you dare defy America, they will shut off your imports and your people will starve. It’s not like the people in Riyadh and Doha know how to farm. They live in skyscrapers and they buy their food from local grocery stores which rely on modern equipment and global imports. Breaking this cycle of dependence relies on breaking the very supply chains which keep millions of people fed and housed. In a perverse way, being developed makes you more dependent. That’s why nations like Afghanistan and Yemen are more able to defy America, simply because they’re less developed and less reliant on imports. @anasaltikriti was being interviewed by @DillyHussain88 on this issue.

Hello friends. Please can you help Saeed to support his family? Please, share this post, and donate if you are able 🙏
"I am Saeed from Gaza. Father of 4. My legs were shattered. Metal plates hold them together now. I stood up again — but standing isn’t enough when my children go to sleep hungry. I am still under treatment. My mother needs medicine. My family needs food. Faith over fear — but faith alone doesn’t buy bread. If you see this, reply with a dot or any word. It helps more than you think. And if you can support us, even a little: chuffed.org/project/saeed My children don’t need more words. They need to eat. 🙏"

So what was going on at the Eagle’s Nest, was the Bavarian government running it like a tourist attraction?
NEW - Adolf Hitler's Alpine retreat, the Eagle's Nest, was completely destroyed after a potential arson attack last night in Bavaria's Berchtesgaden, Germany.

Very annoyed at the people discouraging donating directly to individuals and families. Organizations aren’t being able to operate properly or provide for everyone. And maybe an organization will be able to feed 100,000 people so yes, DO donate to them, but ALSO to the individuals who need surgeries and medication that the org won’t cover. The org will feed them perhaps but the org won’t provide the money for rent to keep them sheltered, or the blankets to keep them warm. So many people and families fall through the cracks and that’s what their individual campaigns are for. Of course it’s an imperfect system and of course it’s not equitable and of course it’s not sustainable, and yet it’s the only option. So for God’s sake don’t discourage people from donating to individual campaigns. Yes, do emphasize other actions as well, but don’t make things more difficult for the families and those trying to keep them alive.

RCP8.5 was in fact plausible (though high) when it was conceived, when China etc was developing primarily with coal and coal was the cheapest fuel. That changed, but now we’re building data centres with emissions as big as entire countries, so I wouldn’t be so confident

I'll give you a more serious answer. Airbnb has taken a massive reputation hit from people like you who ask the guests to clean up after themselves, which they wouldn't have to do at a hotel (Airbnb's competition). That's why they are enforcing this at the platform level. Duh.

Where should the borders be, Danny? Should the borders ever stop moving and expanding? If they expand is that any way to make them “secure”? Israel never answers these questions and neither will Fanny Dinklestein

Well sure that’s one opinion about armed struggle as a tactic but it does not address my question, which is about rights.

Britain has an especially hyper-developed top-down bullying culture: that’s why our sitcoms are so full of snobs being cleverly mean to stupid people. It invites people in the middle to side with power, just for the apparently sexual thrill of behaving like a mean-spirited wanker

Odd when someone takes you to task over something quite specific like carbon reporting and how it bears on licensing decisions, and their posts are like 50% I Love Bolton Wanderers and the rest are about Big Brother

Lol oh god
One of these days, some prominent anti-Zionist activist is going to be the first person to do a “why I left the left” from the Palestinian rights movement, and that person is going to make a billion dollars.

What you are trying to say is that apartheid & ethnic cleansing will finally bring peace. Because, you see, no one accepts a "peace" in which Israelis can seize their land whenever they want to, which is what is happening today, and where they can't vote. I doubt this will work.

The best way to support Ukrainians is to encourage any people still in Ukraine to flee the country, by any means possible. Fewer Ukrainian men and boys available as fodder for Geran drones and FAB-500's means that Zelensky will be under increasing pressure to negotiate.
