🚨Richard Channing “Chan” Shealy, 54, a former interim worship pastor and Christian musician in Lexington, South Carolina, has been indicted on nine federal counts for producing, distributing, and possessing child s*xual abuse material.
Federal prosecutors say Shealy produced images of a child on four occasions between 2004 and 2006, later shared CSAM files in February 2026 via a peer-to-peer network with an undercover Homeland Security agent, and possessed additional material on devices at his home. The production counts carry up to 30 years each; distribution and possession up to 20 years each, plus fines.
This follows his March 26, 2026, arrest on 13 state s*xual exploitation charges. After posting bond (with conditions allowing contact only with his own children and barring internet access), he was hit with 20 more state counts on May 1—including two first-degree criminal s*xual conduct with a minor, lewd acts, and additional exploitation charges tied to the same 2004–2006 period involving children ranging from five to eight years old. Bond was denied; he remains jailed.
Shealy’s wife, Beth Shealy, was vice chair of the Lexington One school board (serving ~27,000–28,000 students) at the time of the initial arrest. She resigned March 29, citing family needs. Local reporting noted her social media response framed the alleged child s*x crimes as acts by “Satan.” The couple has minor children, including a daughter with special needs.
Shealy previously led worship, spoke at a Fellowship of Christian Athletes event at a district high school, and produced Christian music portraying himself as a “faithful” follower of the Bible.
Shealy belongs to the Southern Baptist denomination, which emphasizes marriage as between a man and a woman and condemns consensual same-sex relationships as sinful.

Resident doctors should not be instructed to sign-off potentially unsafe prescriptions.
Today, @DrPhilBanfield has written to Mark Hackett, Interim Chief Executive @UHP_NHS, to raise serious concerns about unsafe working arrangements at the trust.

The trust uses a PA to carry out paediatric ENT surgical procedures. When asked for their scope of practice & governance policies, the Trust refused, bizarrely citing "Health and Safety"

Current waiting times at @UHP_NHS #Derriford #Plymouth A & E
42 hours
Patients won’t be seen until Wednesday AM
Even after waiting almost 2 days they might not even see a medical Dr but a PA or tACP/ACP.

Nobody can tell me that this isn’t partly due to the 52 tACP/ACPs working in #Nottingham A&E on the ‘tiered’ rota
When you replace @BMAResidents with 52 non-medically qualified nurses, physios , Paramedics, ODPs, radiographers etc playing Dr?
This is the result

IMO there is little doubt at all that the shady & deliberately anonymous CAG Implementation Panel have been hand selected by DHSC & NHSE as highly pro-PA/AA substitute roles & are up to their armpits in massive COIs which no one will ever know if their proposals are accepted 🤬
A reminder of the letter released by @NHSEngland when they accepted the @lengreview recommendations in July 2025.
This would’ve kept patients safe .
Why is this being torn to pieces now by the Clinical Advisory Group ?

The #NHS also called the “jewel in the crown”
Now- Built on a model of “don’t come to see us”
And if you do?
“Please leave quickly”
Whether it be primary care or specialist care
It’s called demand management
OR not enough resources to deal with the need of the population.

BBC PAID HIM 6X MORE.
THE TRIBUNAL SAID THAT WAS ILLEGAL.
Samira Ahmed @SamiraAhmedUK presented Newswatch on @BBC for years. Same format. Same length. Same job. Read viewer feedback on camera, wrap it up, go home.
Jeremy Vine @theJeremyVine did exactly the same thing on Points of View.
She got £440 per episode. He got £3,000.
Ahmed spent years trying to fix it quietly through internal BBC processes. The BBC said there was no problem.
She filed for tribunal. In January 2020, the tribunal ruled unanimously in her favour. The BBC could not explain the difference. They tried. They argued Vine needed "a glint in the eye" and to be "cheeky."
The tribunal said that was not a skill. It was a story the BBC told itself.
The total underpayment was close to £700,000. Sarah Montague, another BBC woman, settled separately for around £400,000.
The National Union of Journalists flagged around 70 more cases waiting resolution internally. After Ahmed won, 700 BBC women received pay rises.
The BBC's statement after losing? They regretted it had gone to tribunal.
Not that they paid a woman six times less than a man for the same work for years. Just that it became public.

India said NO to Starlink.
Musk thought he could throw a public tantrum and bully India into handing him a telecom monopoly, but he completely miscalculated.
Thanks to Trump’s reckless betrayal of global allies and cozying up to dictators, the world is waking up to a terrifying truth: you simply cannot trust America—or its arrogant billionaires—with your national security anymore.
Fareed Zakaria:
“Elon Musk picked the wrong moment to lecture Indians.
Frustrated that Starlink had not been cleared to launch in that country, he accused the government of protecting Mukesh Ambani whose telecom network Jio will launch its own satellite service.
Musk cast himself as the champion of ordinary Indians against one of the country's richest men. It backfired. India's government dismissed his accusation as baseless.
An influential nationalist group close to the ruling party went further demanding that Starlink be kept out of India altogether citing national security. Media and online reactions were similarly hostile to Starlink.
Musk did not understand that in India as in much of the world, trust in America is collapsing. Indians have watched as Donald Trump has discarded 25 years of bipartisan outreach to New Delhi in favor of cozying up to Pakistan and its de facto dictator Field Marshal Asim Munir.
They have watched Trump essentially abandon Ukraine, where the military version of Starlink has been suspiciously restricted, thus crippling Ukraine's military response to Russian aggression.
Would India define itself in another crisis with Pakistan? Would it want its armed forces to be utterly dependent on a US satellite system controlled by Trump?”

Many years ago Nottingham was thought of as a decent medical/scientific centre. It had a good medical school, the major hospitals had a strong reputation for high quality care. Things have clearly changed. Another scandal in another specialty. These are not isolated problems.
🚨 EXC: Nottingham hospital launches urgent investigation into hip fracture deaths as its mortality rate hits 50% more than national average - the problem is linked to long delays for emergency surgery according to internal documents.

Simply saying this is a failure of our orthopaedic surgeons is not right. It's a failure of their entire system of emergency/urgent care. It reflects incredibly badly on the entire hospital, and in combination with the other scandals we have seen it points to a failed institution
