Disclaimer: Poll paid for by Jamie Davis. It shows him tied with Julia Letlow in Louisiana Senate race at 45. Letlow has big advantage in name recognition. Most political pros still think she will win. I have asked Letlow campaign to provide me with their latest numbers. I’ll tweet if they do #lalege #lagov nola.com/news/politics/trump…

LOUISIANA TURNOUT SPIKE (DAY 6 UPDATE)
With Gret Stet EVing, I've almost always seen black turnout spike both on Saturday and (if a Tues election) the last 2 EV days of Monday and Tuesday. In 2022, black turnout was abysmal and Sen. John Kennedy easily won in the primary.

Just 9% of voters have already effectively elected nearly 90% of the U.S. House before November.
Because safe, gerrymandered districts make the November election a formality, races are decided in primaries where less than 10% of voters turn out.
Worse: many House members didn't face a single primary opponent in their safe seats.

New from @NewYorkFed: Trump's 2025-26 tariffs contributed 2.9 percentage points to US goods price inflation, via higher prices for imports AND domestic goods.
Without the tariffs, "goods prices would have fallen slightly." 😯
