2022: 40kg Ballast losgeworden. 20kg vor mir, alles im Griff.
2025: Kein Plan überlebt die Realität.
2026, Runde zwei: Wieder 20kg zum Ziel. Dieses Mal besser ausgerüstet.

That stuff is not supposed to be able to see the Internet at all, and frankly appliances like that should be on an industrial automation bus like Modbus RTU based on RS485 or whatever.
If anyone hacks into the controller you disconnect the cable and you're golden, worst case you have to set temperatures with the twist knob on the device and you lose monitoring for a while, but that is it.
This is so unneccesarily self inflicted it's a joke.
BREAKING: Europe is under a massive cyber attack, with supermarket fridges and freezers in Belgium, Sweden, Luxembourg, Ireland, the Netherlands, Finland and Estonia all hacked today by raising temperatures to up to 50°C, destroying huge quantities of food, per Reuters.
"Everything is destroyed," a sales manager in Sweden said, adding that "there has been a cyberattack and all our freezers reached 50 degrees."
More than 40 supermarkets in Belgium and Luxembourg were affected. "I only have two words for them: wake up, please, because there's something going on," a store manager in Belgium said.
This follows a similar cyberattack last month that hit hundreds of supermarkets in France, raising freezers as high as 80°C and causing major food losses.
It also comes after freezers at 6 US military bases mysteriously malfunctioned, spoiling large quantities of food, which the Pentagon is investigating as a suspected cyberattack.

Refrigerators and freezers but they aren’t connected to the internet.
BREAKING:
This morning’s cyberattack against supermarket fridges and freezers has now spread to Belgium, Sweden, Luxembourg and Estonia.
The hackers increased the temperature up to 50C. Food worth millions of euros has been spoiled.
Experts warn that such cyberattacks on supply chains and logistics can constitute a threat to national food security in many Western states.
Netto is doch kaum weniger? Ich sage schon, aber rechnet selber nach:

Warum sind diese fucking Supermarkt-Kühlungen eigentlich noch immer vom Internet aus erreichbar? Was machen die IT Security Leute dort beruflich?
In meinem Beispiel 600€ / Monat 7200€/Jahr also ca. 17% weniger.

I'm still pushing for a Nobel Prize for the Voyager team. Outlasted its mission by 45 years and counting. Incredible.

Possible, but also: if i can burn through my weeks budget in 5 work days, that's fine by me.
I'm currently building and maintaining a complex tax software, the core is around 325k lines of mostly python code. My 3 leanings from this tax season:
1) Don't bother reading the code, understand each aspect in business (in my world tax terms / concepts)
2) Let the model figure out the implementation, but give it strict guidelines / boundaries
3) Be a architect
what are you gonna do @sama get me arrested?
Lately i'm more and more a fan of the actual claude code app, there are many improvements possible but i actually like it

What happens with GPUs once dedicated accelerators (Cerebras, Groq) enter mass production? Will I be able to buy a 3090 for the price of an old server Xeon?
