Following text with Reading Rulers is mentioned negatively in this programme. They are highly effective for tracking text, to improve focus, fluency, speed and reading ages. We use these ones ⬇️. They allow students to read ahead as well as supporting those with dyslexia, SEND.

Very best wishes to @MrDavidScales as he takes up his new role. He has done what few leaders have managed: transforming a broken, inadequate school to 'Good' in 15 months. @AAWoodfields is totally unrecognisable. I will really miss David, but wish him every success and happiness.

@MrsBallAP's @rEDYshire session was a useful reminder that CPD should not be judged by whether it has been delivered, but by whether it changes what teachers do back in the classroom. My reflections and key takeaways are here robgeogchambers.substack.com… The session focused on the some of the mechanisms that help drive that change. The gap between knowing and doing is where professional development either takes root or becomes just another good intention. @researchED1 @teach_well @OutwoodIE @Steplab_co
