Amazon has employee-level expectations for delivery workers, but then pretends they're not employees. This allows Amazon to avoid accountability for unsafe or unfair working conditions these workers face. Put the Delivery Protection Act to a vote.

The fight to unionize Amazon is labors most militant fight at this moment. We need all hands on deck to show this $2 trillion dollar company that worker power WORKS! 💥

Amazon "treats us like we're in a situationship.... yet they expect marriage commitment from us." 🔥 Delivery workers deserve better than a one-sided commitment -- it's time to get the Delivery Protection Act over the finish line!

When New York City passes the Teamsters-backed Delivery Protection Act, it will kickstart a movement nationwide to finally put an end to Amazon's exploitation and ensure that the workers who make the $3 trillion delivery giant run get the pay and benefits they deserve.

Thank you, @NYCMayor, for your support of the Amazon Teamsters movement and for endorsing the Delivery Protection Act to hold companies like Amazon accountable when they break the law. Every worker deserves dignity and respect on the job, and we are proud to stand together in the fight against the world’s greediest company. It’s long past time to pass the Delivery Protection Act and show companies like Amazon that the days of exploiting workers and endangering our communities are over.
When a worker wears an Amazon vest, drives an Amazon van and delivers on an Amazon-controlled route, but Amazon denies they work for the company — that's exploitation. When we see that traffic and injury-causing crashes spike on the streets around a warehouse — that's exploitation. And it makes our streets less safe. We stand with working people, not corporations that profit by denying them their rights. We stand with @Teamsters and for safe streets in New York City. We will pass the Delivery Protection Act.

New York City can no longer allow Amazon to hide behind subcontractors so they can exploit its workers and pollute our streets. That’s why @NYCComptroller @nycpa @bradhoylman and I are calling on @NYCCouncil to delay no further, and bring the Delivery Protection Act to a vote!

Whether it’s throughout the hospitality or delivery industry, we’ve seen how crucial direct employment is to ensuring workers receive the protections, wages, and dignity they deserve. HTC was proud to stand with labor and elected officials today to support the Delivery Protection Act, which will improve the lives of thousands of workers across our city.
TEAMSTERS RALLY FOR DELIVERY PROTECTION ACT AT NEW YORK CITY HALL Today, Teamsters General President Sean M. O’Brien joined hundreds of rank-and-file Amazon Teamsters and New York City elected officials, including Mayor Zohran Mamdani, for a rally at City Hall urging Council Speaker Julie Menin to schedule an immediate vote on the Delivery Protection Act. The Delivery Protection Act, authored by Councilmember Tiffany Cabán (D-22nd District), would require delivery companies like Amazon to register their facilities with the city and ban subcontracting for last-mile delivery drivers in the five boroughs. Amazon uses a corrupt subcontracting model in which third-party “Delivery Service Partners” shield the company from legal liability while making billions in profit. The bill is supported by a majority of the City Council and Mayor Mamdani. “Amazon is America’s most corrupt white-collar crime syndicate, wasting millions to rob warehouse workers of the right to collectively bargain while designing a nationwide subcontracting scheme to deny employment rights to its entire fleet of delivery drivers,” O’Brien said. “New York City is a vital artery of Amazon’s global logistics operations, and it must be the first city to pass the Delivery Protection Act. Amazon’s unchecked exploitation of drivers and parcel delivery workers has got to end. The Teamsters are honored to lead the fight to fix a broken system stacked against working people, and we thank Mayor Mamdani, Councilmember Cabán, and the supermajority of the City Council for standing with workers at this critical moment.”
