I would agree to one time reparations to the Caribbean but my terms would be the reparation of every person with Caribbean heritage in the UK. They must surrender their British citizenship as they leave. Biometrics & dabs because they will never be coming back. I wonder how many would take reparations on those terms. Millions who abandoned the Conservatives remember the promises made in 2019. I'd suggest an independent review of what went wrong, followed by a legally binding immigration cap, annual reporting to Parliament and clear safeguards against ministers quietly relaxing the rules again. Show voters exactly how your government would be prevented from repeating the mistakes of the last one. That's how you begin rebuilding trust.
