What does $6 billion actually represent?
If you start spending $100,000 every day starting today, it would take you 164 years to spend that amount of money. This is based on the assumption that your $6 billion does not generate any further returns or utility, and that you can consistently spend $100,000 every day #BinanceHack
Thinking about the future with our current mindset has limitations, just as people 200 years ago might have thought about technological development in the same way.
It might get pretty lively tonight, but I haven’t decided on a costume yet. After giving it some thought—forget it, I think I’ll just skip the dressing up and watch the young people’s performances instead! Hahaha.
Happy Halloween!

My phone froze when I saw this, and by the time I realized what was happening, this guy had already looked at me with contempt several times over! Damn it!

The market is like the four seasons. We are in a bear market, which is like spring. This is the time to sow seeds, not to complain about the lack of harvest. The more you sow and take better care of the seeds in spring, the better the harvest will be in autumn! The more you accumulate during a bear market, the greater your returns will be when the bull market arrives. It is a simple and straightforward logic

Saw a few discussions about size of hack, why impact to bitcoin price is small, etc. 👇
$6.3 billion is the biggest in USD terms, but not in BTC terms. MtGox was 650,000 BTC!
Other important numbers to consider:
% of bitcoin (in relation to BTC total supply), ie, market impact. MtGox is big there again at 5%+.
Number of users impacted, and % of user assets impacted. MtGox (the largest CEX at the time) and FTX (not small) were all near 100% of users and their asseets.
Most important: Who is impacted? Does the platform cover it all? (only one victim), as in recent two CEX cases and Binance.
Obviously, still a major disaster for the industry, Binance (and me). It hurts, but we survive.
Most importantly, we protect our users.

JUST IN: 🇯🇵 Japan asks OpenAI and Anthropic for access to their most advanced AI models.
Remember: a 50% drop in crypto is just a "pullback" or "volatility."🤣
🚨 BLACK FRIDAY CRASH IS HERE.
Over $2.5 Trillion has been wiped out from the global markets today.
🇺🇸 US stock market is down -1.25%, wiping out $1 Trillion
🇨🇳 Chinese stock market dumped -1.5%, wiping out $260 Billion.
🇯🇵 Nikkei dropped -2.12%, wiping out $165 Billion.
🇰🇷 KOSPI crashed -3.48%, wiping out $100 Billion.
Along with this, Gold and Silver have wiped out almost $900 Billion, while the crypto market has erased $120 Billion.
But what's surprising here is that, despite being a 10x-50x smaller industry, crypto is down almost as much as global assets.
IMO once the crash settles, crypto will have the biggest rally.
