My phone froze when I saw this, and by the time I realized what was happening, this guy had already looked at me with contempt several times over! Damn it!

Saw a few discussions about size of hack, why impact to bitcoin price is small, etc. 👇
$6.3 billion is the biggest in USD terms, but not in BTC terms. MtGox was 650,000 BTC!
Other important numbers to consider:
% of bitcoin (in relation to BTC total supply), ie, market impact. MtGox is big there again at 5%+.
Number of users impacted, and % of user assets impacted. MtGox (the largest CEX at the time) and FTX (not small) were all near 100% of users and their asseets.
Most important: Who is impacted? Does the platform cover it all? (only one victim), as in recent two CEX cases and Binance.
Obviously, still a major disaster for the industry, Binance (and me). It hurts, but we survive.
Most importantly, we protect our users.

i say no to all of them.
because not only do i not need their money, i refuse to say things because i’m getting paid to do so.

what does it mean to be your own bank?
many people are asking me, so here's a high-level explanation:
in traditional banking, you trust a third party to hold your money, keep it safe and grant you permission to spend it.
however, when you use a self-custodial crypto wallet, you eliminate the bank entirely. you hold the keys to your assets, giving you absolute control.
you don't need to ask anyone permission to spend your funds. and if a bank goes down, like during the 2008 financial crisis, you remain unaffected.

THIS CAN'T BE A COINCIDENCE.
The biggest institutions are going all-in on crypto, and that too at the same exact time.
Here's what has happened within the past week.
• J.P. MORGAN: Forecasts Bitcoin will deliver 10% annual returns over the next decade, outperforming every major asset class.
• BLACKROCK: Its Bitcoin ETF, $IBIT, just attracted $665 MILLION in a single day, its biggest inflow in 2026.
• CHARLES SCHWAB: With 48.6 MILLION client accounts, it has rolled out Bitcoin and Ethereum trading, with plans to add Solana, Avalanche, and Chainlink.
• DEUTSCHE BANK: Preparing to launch crypto custody services, allowing institutional clients to hold digital assets.
• STANDARD CHARTERED: Expanding institutional Bitcoin and Ethereum trading services in the UAE.
Historically, these institutions have a habit of manipulating the markets.
When they want lower prices, they FUD it to the max, and when they are done with accumulation, they trigger FOMO to pump the market.
And the way things are happening now, it's obvious what's coming next.
