This is exactly why it is outrageous that the Supreme Court stayed the lower courts' judgement that this despicable third county deportation program violated Federal Law: scotusblog.com/2026/10/when-…
A Texas father who had lived in the U.S. for 25 years with no criminal record was finishing his night shift as an Uber driver when immigration agents detained him. Without being able to speak to his lawyer or a judge, he was put on a plane and sent first to Ghana, a country where he had no ties. He was then sent to his home country, despite a determination by a U.S. immigration court judge that he could not be deported there due to likely persecution. cbsn.ws/3Ude66r

A good day for democracy, with big wins in Serbia and Brazil. Israel could be next on Tuesday, then the US midterms the following week. The best case against the autocrats is the autocrats (and how they govern with corrupt self-promotion). trib.al/l5x6pNO

ICE GANGS ROAMING THE STREETS When masked agents roam our streets treating brown people as targets, shitting on the Constitution, they are simply a criminal gang. Calling it “enforcement” doesn’t make it justice. PAXIS.app helps immigrants and Americans understand their rights and prepare for ICE encounters. Know your rights. Record safely. Demand accountability. Help keep PAXIS free: GoFundMe.com/PAXIS

2/ Russian forces have made effectively zero net gains in 2026 at the cost of over 40,000 casualties per month since July and around 458 casualties for every square kilometer of territory that Russian forces lost.

The great Oleksandra Matviichuk is absolutely right to draw attention to the horrible humanitarian crisis in Oleshky. All Putin, Witkoff, and Kushner can do is invert and traduce the meaning of “humanitarianism,” in the best traditions of Russian propaganda. For the Americans the war is just an element of a grift; they are, sadly, not negotiators in any sense, just men seeking to make more money from the bloodshed their actions enable.
I have read dozens of outraged posts because the US special envoy Witkoff called Putin a "humanist." But no one is writing about the fact that the American negotiators are simply not doing their job. Let me explain. Peace negotiations are important in their own right. Even if they do not lead to a lasting peace, the process itself is an opportunity to resolve urgent humanitarian issues. If, of course, the human dimension is a priority for the negotiators. But it is entirely obvious that neither Witkoff nor Kushner cares about people's fates in this war. The Pope calls on Putin to save thousands of people from starvation in occupied Oleshky and the surrounding villages. The UN speaks about a humanitarian catastrophe and asks Russia to allow the evacuation of the civilian population. European Parliament Vice-President Pina Picierno goes on a hunger strike to draw attention to this tragedy unfolding before the eyes of the whole world. And what are Witkoff and Kushner doing? That's right, almost nothing. Except for passing along greetings from Putin’s aide to the First Lady. Thousands of people are already eating grass to survive and begging to save their lives. The Ukrainian side raises the issue of Oleshky at every meeting. And I can name dozens of such urgent humanitarian issues off the top of my head where American negotiators must be proactive. Trump’s peace negotiations have already gone down in history as the deadliest years for Ukraine’s civilian population since the start of the full-scale invasion. I don’t know if anyone will remember the names of Witkoff and Kushner. But history will certainly record how American negotiators, who had the opportunity to save a huge number of people, refused to raise uncomfortable questions before "humanist Putin."

ICE violently detain man legally in U.S.—refuse to look at his papers. "I got papers right here!" man pleads. Slam him against wooden fence as he screams in pain. Agent tells man filming free to leave—because he's white. "He said because I'm white he's not going to arrest me" man holding camera says. "Just for the color of my skin... even though I'm Mexican, too." Agents claim they tackled the man because he started running—with no other probable cause. Incident occurred in Chicago, Illinois. Ricardo Salvador Miranda doesn’t have an active account on this platform—so posting first full length and credited video here to help raise awareness.
