A crowd of disabled activists braved the storm to demand what Government has failed to deliver: basic financial security, dignity and rights.
Disabled people's voices were united in calling for an emergency winter payment for people with disabilities.

They hold protest signs reading “Choice, not charity,” “Heat or Eat,” and “Disabled by the State = Second-Class Citizen.” Several people have fists raised in solidarity. @MHCIreland is developing a new Code of Practice on the use of surveillance technologies in mental health settings and they want to hear from you.
Surveillance tools can include CCTV, alarms, sensors, GPS trackers, and body-worn cameras. While intended to support safety and care, their use raises important questions about privacy, dignity, autonomy and human rights.

A new survey by Mental Health Reform, HSE EIP, and Shine finds that, where specialist EIP services were available to respondents, they had much better outcomes. Substantial gaps remain however in psychosis support. More services, funding & stigma reduction are needed.
Key stats:
➡️ Only 14.4% of those in general mental health services have easy access.
➡️ Expanding EIP services can improve outcomes.
