awesome to see agents paying for inference in real time, and topping up their session when they hit their spending limits

Portugal is an incredible place to live, and a terrible place to be an entrepreneur.
That's where the problem lies.
We were able to attract incredible people to Portugal but when they decide to invest in our country they only find bureaucracy, problems and red tape.
That's the one thing that if we fix, we change dramatically our economy.
Until then it's incredible to have the websummit, it's incredible all this startup energy, but nobody will register a startup in Portugal when they can register in the USA, in Estonia and in Dubai, remotely, without bureaucracy.
As a Portuguese that's my main love hate relationship with my country.
I want it to succeed, but every time I think about starting a business here I am faced with the reality.
Fix the bureaucracy. Fix the excess of regulation.
And Portugal will thrive.

Neurotech is Humanity’s Next Frontier!
I’ve been investing in neurotech since 2021 and working with teams building BCIs, NeuroAI, and connectomics. It now feels like AI did in ~2019.
We are entering an extraordinary era: neurotech already restores functions, it can enhance our capabilities, and will evolve what it means to be human.
PLC Neurotech is the fund backing the extraordinary founders and defining companies of this booming industry.

"Our initial evaluation suggested that GPT-6-Astra's score was in the late eighties followed closely by Opus 5.5. But, as we started to investigate the mistakes that the models might have made, the models, especially Astra, insisted that they were right and that it was the expert-supplied answers that were erroneous. When we went back to the experts it turned out, in multiple instances, that that the experts found some subtle errors buried deep inside their calculations. As they revised their answers, Astra's score started to inch up and it finally ended up with 98% (49/50)."

A few people yesterday asked how AI could impact FHE / @zama, so here is a quick tldr:
1. There is no evidence that lattices / FHE can be broken by AI, SI or quantum. If anything, there is a growing consensus that fully breaking lattices might imply P = NP.
2. However, it's almost certain that better attacks will be discovered, which would require increasing parameter size and taking a short-term hit on performance. The Zama protocol is modular, so we can increase parameters size or swap out any component quickly, without changing the UX or rotating user keys.
3. Zama uses FHE only for privacy, so breaking FHE would not allow stealing funds that are shielded, it would only allow seeing balances and amounts. This is unlike ZK, where breaking the cryptography means you can steal funds and mint infinite tokens.
4. We do a lot of work on cryptanalysis and improving the security of FHE. We spend millions a year on audits (AI and human), research grants, bounties, have 30 PhDs in the team, etc. We have a plan A (the current thing we do), but also a plan B and a plan C if things go wrong. Whatever the future throws at us, we will have a way to adapt to offer the same service.
5. Hashes have been broken in the past, many times (MD5, SHA1, etc), so saying they are more secure than lattices, which have been extensively studied for decades is a stretch to say the least. Not saying its impossible, but history is on the side of lattices here.
Lets also remember that if indeed lattices and elliptic curves are broken and there is no public-key encryption anymore, then hiding your balances onchain is the least of your worries, because the world as we know it would be over: no private communications, no online banking, your AI prompts would be public, etc.

If you missed my Keynote today, you can catch it below.
Tldr - the missing layer in the vault stack is here and together with that, Zama is building the tools and ecosystem to bring trillions on chain 🔥
ENCRYPT THE MONEY
Irene Patrikios (@crypto_irene) of @zama on confidentiality as the missing layer in the vault stack. In her model, the allocator’s position is private, the curator’s strategy stays public, and auditors or regulators can be given access. Listen to her keynote here.

We acquired TokenOps a few months back to enable confidential vesting and distribution. We rebuilt it from the ground up to he confidential by design. If you are launching a token, doing an airdrop, or distributing RWAs, get in touch!
We've been building a better way to distribute tokens.
TokenOps, rebuilt on the Zama Protocol: vesting, cap tables and scheduled payments, every amount confidential.

bro Cloudflare just launched like 100000 products in the past week
i feel like you’re gonna be able to ask your AI agent to use the cf CLI and set up literally everything for your product on Cloudflare
super bullish, i love Cloudflare man
You told us Cloudflare can feel like a black box. Today, we’re taking eight major steps to change that.
Just ask your agent to query your observability data with cf, our agent-first CLI for the Cloudflare API.

I'm moderating the panel "Bringing Stablecoins into Everyday Finance" at @XRPSEOUL (Oct 3) in Seoul this Saturday. Well be digging into two topics that are reshaping how money moves: x-chain liquidity and how neobanks can put stablecoins to work.
This is an especially exciting conversation to have in Korea where mobile-first banks have already shown how quickly people will adopt better financial experiences. Among an incredible line-up of panelists I'll also be joined by @kakaopay_kr one of the neobanks absolutely dominating in this space in the Korean market. Cant wait to share perspectives.
If you're in Seoul, come say hi! 📍 Grand Hyatt Seoul | 6PM
