Please vote NO on all five New York City Charter amendments.
The stakes could not be higher. These proposals if passed would fundamentally change how decisions are made in our city, with consequences that could last for generations.
This is a power play by the mayor to concentrate power in the executive branch, and cut out opportunities for the public, and even our community boards and city council representatives, to dissent. It is authoritarian and must be rejected.
At stake is the future of community input, accountability, and the checks and balances that protect New Yorkers from bad policies. If these amendments pass, we believe the city will lose important safeguards, community boards will be substantially weakened, and ordinary New Yorkers will have fewer meaningful opportunities to influence decisions affecting their neighborhoods and their lives.

Council spokesperson Jack Lobel said the bill will be voted on in the “coming months.”
How many more deaths, injuries, etc. will happen while you think about this and other things?

This is why the DSA is demanding for the elimination of the SRG unit. That would be the unit responsible to respond to these situations and there’s no way Mamdani will call in the National Guard.
The West is next, unless New Yorkers vote wisely.
Watched multiple livestreams out of Paris today and posted some of them. Across the footage, not a single police officer. Not one police car. Zero enforcement of basic public order while the streets were being torn apart.
Whoever gave the orders for law enforcement to stand down is actively choosing to let Paris burn.

Saritha is by far the most qualified candidate for AG. Listen to her for five minutes and you will understand why.

This is what happens when voter turnout is only 15% in our 13th Congressional District for the June primary: we end up with this unstable person. 👇🏽
Elections matter and we need competitive races in the future November general elections.

NYC Ballot Proposal #5: VOTE NO
I need help with this one...
Now, the city is allowed to set money aside for economic downturns. If this ballot passes, they city will have to put 12% of the tax revenue into the fund. And, they will not need approval from the City Comptroller anymore…just a requirement to “consult.” Only the mayor and city council will have to approve. This will pass BEFORE they tell us how, which they won’t have to do until 2020. Also, the mayor would get permission to withdraw beyond the 50% limit if he has a “compelling” reason.
Again power is centralized with the mayor and city council who with just his judgement can take the whole fund. (And spend it on anti capitalist, anti American goals?)

A "woke" embarrassment to black moms. Why didn't NHJ confront the teachers or school administrators? Well, they must have been black, too. She didn't even attempt to organize the other black parents. This "Talented Tenth" elitist supports ditching the Regents & all measures.

Allow me to make a bit of a clarification.
City people--ACTUAL city people--do NOT hate cars.
New York City NATIVES do NOT hate cars.
Baltimore City natives like myself do NOT hate cars.
People drive within New York City all the time. Transit workers, cops, firefighters, and paramedics ABSOLUTELY drive cars in the city.
Doctors and nurses/CNPs have their own license plates to apply for and use on their personal vehicles here in NY. Even in neighborhoods in NYC that are well-served by the subway and/or commuter rail in the suburbs, there are people who will still drive to the parking lots at the stations, or somewhere close to a train station (like where I filmed earlier).
The automobile is STILL considered aspirational and necessary in NYC...by people who are ACTUALLY New Yorkers.
The ones who pretend to hate cars are downwardly mobile, white liberal psychopaths who grew up in the suburbs. They're mostly spoiled children in adult bodies, with upper middle-class parents who dote on them like they're still in third grade or some shit.
These assholes don't really hate cars. They hate freedom of individual movement, outside of THEIR control.
Keep in mind, these are people who called the cops on Black homeowners grilling and sitting out on their stoops...then made TikToks of themselves on their stoops.
THAT is who the modern gentrifier is.
THAT is who actually hates cars here.
