Lots of noise out there about the safety of plaquenil; much of it, inaccurate. Plaquenil is one of the safest medicines to treat lupus. It prevents flares. Lupus patients don’t want to flare during the COVID19 crisis. Don’t let the noise scare you into not taking your plaquenil!

Agree with @OntPharmacists @OntarioDoctors @RNAO: Taking drugs like #HCQ that aren’t approved for #COVID19 is dangerous. Clinical trials take time, but they save lives! For now, best way to protect yourself is still #socialdistancing and #handwashing. #arthritis #coronavirus
OPA, @OntariosDoctors and @RNAO join forces to make it clear: There isn’t enough scientific evidence to support #hydroxychloroquine as an effective treatment for #COVID19.
