Can you IMAGINE if a progressive Democrat who lost a primary started openly attacking the party’s moderate nominee days before a general election?
Can you imagine the fury of centrist politicians and journalists? The progressive would be stoned to death in the town square.

abdul el sayed and every muslim person around him has been called a radical islamic jihadist terrorist every single day by the entire political spectrum since he won the primary and i haven’t seen a single think piece or major media interview of an arab voter abt how this makes them feel. arab and muslim voters combined make up almost 4% of the electorate. jewish voters make up 1.4% & many of those jewish voters aren’t zionists or will let israel get in the way of preserving american democracy. so we’ve heard endlessly from a tiny group of potential spoiler voters who aren’t getting their way on a deeply unpopular issue- why?
If you're trying to understand why so many Michigan Jewish Democrats are defecting, I wrote in August about it. It's not, per se, about foreign policy. theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/0…

Extremely obvious that this will be enforced immediately against pro-Palestine protesters on the basis that Zionists will claim to have felt "distress" and "alarm".

I've no idea whether it'll work out in the long run, but you have to say Zionism Is Racism has absolutely torpedoed Andy Burnham's "generic good vibes, presume he's on our side" persona.
“How can they do this?”
Because you lot stole their futures and refuse to give it back to them.

We did, over a year ago. We were supposed to have a leftist prime minister but Macron decided he didn’t give a fuck about elections and popular vote and he appointed an ultra right winged PM. So now we’re rioting

Centrism is such an easy gig.
If Melenchon makes the last two, and Le Pen wins, it’ll be Melenchon’s fault.
If Phillipe or Glucksmann make the last two, and Le Pen wins, it’ll also be Melenchon’s fault.

Protests in Italy, protests in Spain, protests in France. Across Europe the youth have decided fight back. You cry for burned stores and broken windows. A city can be rebuilt. The future of the next generation is worth so much more. Lock in or move out of the way.
In Maine, Michigan and Minnesota we are watching the Democratic Establishment’s hand picked candidates lose and then either actively or passively undermine the party and or their nominee. This is an abject failure by the Democratic leadership.
Detroit News: Former Chair of the Michigan Democratic Party is leading an effort to make sure Democrats leave their ballot blank for the US Senate race in Michigan.
