Everyone knows /dev/null and /dev/zero. almost nobody talks about /dev/full.
Linux has a special device that deliberately fails every write with ENOSPC (no space left on device), without actually filling your disk.
It's useful for testing how programs handle failed writes.
The interesting part is that C's buffered fprintf() can appear to succeed, while the error only shows up when fclose() tries to flush the data.
