Correction: S/H made 5 films after Antigone w/ figures of the ancient world ("set in" is dubious, all their films are set in... the world). Easy error to make when the films aren't shown. La Madre was submitted by JMS and refused by MoMI's "First Look" series (Dennis Lim) in 2012

NATHAN FIELDER: This is one of the most famous comedy sketches of the last 30 years.
*Plays SNL More Cowbell sketch*
FIELDER: Now what was funny about that?
*Pause*
BERNIE MADOFF: They're a rock band.
FIELDER: Yes but what's the joke.
MADOFF: They have long hair, I don't know.

What are the stats on people who’ve won multiple Oscars presented by the same person? Someone’s gotta have that information handy
“And finally I would like, if I may, to dedicate this Oscar to the heroism and the courage of women, and to hope that it inspires the creation of more true screen heroines to represent them.”
In 1996, Emma Thompson became the only person in history to win Oscars for both acting and writing. At the 65th Oscars, she won Best Actress for her performance as Margaret Schlegel in HOWARDS END. Three years later, she won Adapted Screenplay for SENSE AND SENSIBILITY.
Crazy how there’s a TV channel in Australia that, as far as I can tell, plays Powell & Pressburger related material 24/7

Danny Trejo's son posted this about his father's upcoming movie. It's very sad and eye opening
