Today I learned that Dean Lubowa Saava once tried his hand at music. He has actual recordings. 😂 Is there any hustle this man hasn't tried? Music, journalism, propaganda, character assassination, blackmail, name it. Whatever pays.

Andrew Mwenda, with a straight face, falsely claimed that the People's Front for Freedom (PFF) did not win a single seat in the current (12th) Parliament, and the host, Terry Kahuma, did not challenge him. PFF has two MPs in the 12th Parliament: ~Betty Aol Ocan, Gulu City Woman MP ~Asinansi Nyakato, Hoima City Woman MP.

Dr Jimmy Spire Ssentongo is a dollar billionaire and has very great ideas on how he will spend his money. He wants to help Mr Museveni in his quest to rid Kampala of all its greenery and replace it with concrete. That Kampala doesn't need green spaces or trees. 😆

Ofwono Opondo: In the parliamentary caucus of the NRM, to which I belong, the issue of human rights has been persistent during the five months we have been in Parliament. I have spoken to the Chief Whip and to the NRM leaders in Parliament (ministers), and there has not been any efforts to have that discussion in the caucus. And my reading is that they're unwilling to engage because of repudiation. They don't know what will follow if they allow that discussion in an official forum.

Ofwono Opondo: I would dare, if you think the gun can rule and sustain, just for a minute, walk downtown (Kampala) without the guns. Walk downtown without escorts and we see. The Capital Gang, Capital FM October 25, 2026.

When Museveni unleashed Thomas Tayebwa to defend and rationalize the continued illegal incarceration of Dr Besigye before the people of Kigezi sub-region during campaigns for the 2026 elections. It was disgraceful.

The smear campaign against Ofwono Opondo has begun: blackmail, malice, propaganda, intimidation. Yet he never named anyone. Funny how some people start running before anyone gives chase.

Upon MP Ofwono Opondo raising the matter of abductions and torture of citizens, the Deputy Speaker tried to sweep it under the carpet, even as Joel Ssenyonyi underscored its gravity and called out the State’s continued reluctance to confront the issue head-on.

On the floor of Parliament this afternoon, Ofwono Opondo, the MP for Older Persons (Eastern Uganda), raised the issue of continued arbitrary arrests, abductions and torture of citizens by security forces. He specifically cited the abduction of Praise Aloikin Opoloje about three weeks ago. He wondered whether this was a new law for the NRM.
