Exact same dynamic with Cuba btw. "Will you condemn" is used to shut down any mention of how the U.S. has had a policy of genocidal economic war against the island for over six decades. And don't even try to mention that this policy and Cuban politics are intricately linked!
It’s not just about election ratfucking. “Will you condemn?” is an effective strategy to keep Israel’s critics on the defensive so that Israel’s supporters never have to answer for what they’re supporting.

I’m told that .@USAmbUN has now had to come to his subordinate’s defense. I’ve been thinking about whether to respond him on Signal or post here. I have no doubt that Mr. Waltz, in a desperate effort to please his boss, who may be upset by his poor performance at the .@UN, is now resorting to the term “superintelligence” instead of the widely accepted “artificial intelligence.” By repeating the same nonsense over and over again about #Cuba, the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations only confirms the stubbornness of someone who lacks arguments to defend the indefensible. The facts are clear. The Government Mr. Waltz represents is suffocating our people with a collective punishment that has lasted for decades, and he boasts about defending it, or worse, denying it. On October 28, the overwhelming majority of the international community rejected the genocidal blockade against Cuba, doing so courageously in the face of the blackmail and brutal pressure exerted by those like you who want to see us give in. So far, 14 U.S. administrations have failed in their attempts of seeing us on our knees before the empire. So will you. #CubaIsNotAThreat, The Blockade Is

Cuba put the children first! Most vulnerable! #CubaNoEsUnaAmenazaElBloqueoSí #CubaVencerá
Even in the middle of a 26-hour-long blackout, the local authorities of Havana managed to provide a free concert for our children. It’s an act of heroism in the midst of a fuel blockade by the U.S. gov. Trump and Rubio might be able to block fuel shipments to Cuba, but they will never be able to break our spirit. #CubaNoEsUnaAmenaza, el bloqueo sí!

These people live in Narnia. Miguel Díaz-Canel is President of Cuba since 2019, and 1st Secretary of the PCC since 2021. Regardless of the person in charge in Cuba, we have a plan A, B, C, D, E, and so on, for whatever ridiculous plan the U.S. has in store. What is truly repugnant is how U.S. politicians gamble with the lives of the Cuban people, pushing for collective punishment while the people suffer, solely to satisfy a handful of Miami campaign donors. #CubaIsNotAThreat, the blockade is!
BREAKING: Trump tells me there is a 0% chance a Castro is in charge of Cuba when he leaves office. Then he gave me a timeline and military plan: “Communist Regime in Cuba is not going to last much longer...Look at what we did in Venezuela" “We’re going to finish off [Iran] and then move on to the other one. We have Marco looking at it extremely closely. His parents are from Cuba. That will work out DEFINITELY within two years.” The DOJ has already indicted for Raúl Castro and Florida has just issued an arrest warrant. Could a Maduro style raid on the Communists be next? Free Cuba.

A piece of free advice for .@USUN If .@AmbUNReform, instead of spending his time reading trashy novels, used that time to educate himself—and at least read the General Assembly’s rules of procedure and the United Nations delegate’s handbook—perhaps he could advise his boss to make fewer blunders in front of the international community. #CubaIsNotAThreat, the Blockade is

It was 60 years ago today, on October 29, 1966, that a high-level Cuban delegation arrived in Hanoi to reaffirm the unwavering solidarity with the Vietnamese people, who were facing one of the most difficult stages of their struggle for liberation and national reunification. The warm embrace of our leaders with the unforgettable President Ho Chi Minh, whom Army General Raúl Castro described as a legendary and exceptional revolutionary, went down in history.

Look, this is America. At an international organization like the United Nations, a US representative can actually use the words “Do you understand who you’re dealing with? This is America!” as a way to intimidate others. What this reveals is not strength, but a deeply ingrained hegemonic mindset: in their eyes, international rules can constrain everyone else, but they need not constrain the United States; other countries may voice objections, but they must not challenge American authority. What is even more ironic is that when a country spends years pressuring another through sanctions and blockades, only to turn around and blame that country for its own predicament, how much credibility do its much-vaunted claims of “freedom,” “democracy,” and “human rights” really have left? The United Nations is not America’s private property, and the international community is not a subordinate institution of Washington. If the United States cannot even respect procedures and listen to dissent in the UN chamber, what gives it the right to portray itself as the defender of the international order? A genuine international order should not be one in which whoever has the biggest fist gets to decide who must shut up. And that is precisely the lesson the United States most needs to learn.
“Do you understand who you are dealing with? This is America. Back up.” A United Nations meeting was dramatically suspended yesterday after US ambassador Mike Waltz and Cuban foreign minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla both ignored the chair’s plea for order in the chamber. The problem started when Waltz blamed Cubans for the shocking US embargoes and blockades that are causing huge suffering to the people of the island. Cuban representatives, astonished at the way Waltz blamed the victims for the crisis, in their eyes, stood up and objected, citing Rule 71, which allows listeners to raise a point of order. Ambassador Waltz responded that the Cubans didn’t like the substance of his speech, so were not raising a point of order. But when complaints continued, this caused Ambassador Waltz to lose his temper and shout “Back up! Back away. Do you understand what you’re dealing with? This is America.” . INTERNATIONAL TERRITORY The rest of the United Nations was outraged by this attitude, as the UN building is legally international territory. When Waltz refused to stop his tirade, Khalilur Rahman, chair of the 81st session, ordered that the meeting be instantly suspended. Waltz ignored him. The meeting was then resumed, but footage of the argument created a huge storm on social media. Some people in the US defended Waltz’s narrative, blaming Cubans for the suffering caused by the US embargos. But much of the commentary from the rest of the world said that the United Nations, for the safety of the delegates and the organization itself, should no longer be situated in New York. When New York was originally chosen as the site, the US pledged not to politicize US visa access to meetings—but has regularly broken the pledge, such as refusing to allow visas for Palestinians. . .
