Trump rally attendee: Well, in the late 70s, I was a little too young to go to South America for the Jonestown Massacre. But this is as close as I'll ever get, so that's why I'm here. There's nothing like seeing a cult right up front.

It cannot be stated often enough or vociferously enough: The Trump administration is helping Russia to conquer Ukraine. The United States of America has taken the side of an aggressor against its innocent victim. We are helping our actual enemies as they prey upon us and our friends. This policy reversal from both the Biden administration and the first Trump administration is a shameful abandonment of principle and of self-interest.

🇺🇦 🇺🇲 The confrontation inside Trump's Ukraine peace negotiations is now coming into focus.
Le Monde reports that Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner spent nearly three hours pitching Ukraine's presidential chief of staff, Kyrylo Budanov, a postwar economic arrangement built around restoring Russian oil and gas flows to Europe through Ukrainian pipelines.
The meeting took place on October 9 at the Shell Bay golf club in Florida.
Witkoff presented the proposal as a regional prosperity plan: Ukraine would collect transit revenues, Europe would receive cheaper energy, and Russia would regain access to commercial routes disrupted by the war.
Budanov saw something fundamentally different. According to a witness cited by Le Monde, he objected that the arrangement would recreate Ukraine's dependence on Moscow.
“Our model is not Belarus, but Poland!” he reportedly replied.
The meeting was interrupted, and Budanov called Zelensky.
When talks resumed, news arrived that Trump had announced a separate agreement with Putin involving Russian diesel. Le Monde reports that an irritated Witkoff then demanded that the Ukrainians accept the arrangement and stop striking Russian oil refineries, arguing that the attacks endangered the wider world.
A source familiar with the Ukrainian delegation described its members as exceptionally distressed by the encounter.
The account adds a revealing dimension to the commercial negotiations we have been tracking. The proposed Lukoil asset sale, Novatek's involvement in an Alaska LNG venture, the broader US-Russia list of business opportunities reported by the Financial Times, and now the proposed restoration of Russian energy transit through Ukraine all point to the prominence of energy deals in Washington's diplomatic approach.
These are separate proposals, with different participants and legal circumstances. But Le Monde's reporting exposes the strategic disagreement underlying them.
For Witkoff, restoring commercial flows appears to be part of the mechanism for producing a peace settlement. For Budanov, according to the account, those same flows threaten to restore Moscow's economic leverage over Ukraine.
The reported exchange also raises a question about sequencing: why was Kyiv being pressed to stop attacking Russian refineries while Russia continued striking Ukrainian energy infrastructure?
Le Monde's reconstruction relies on accounts of a private meeting. The reported exchanges have not been independently confirmed by the participants.

This is this most damning thing in the Epstein files and the media has still ignored it. Peter Thiel created the group that turned Russian hacked emails into conspiracy theories about Hillary—MAGA3X.
Thiel coordinated with the Russians through Jeffrey Epstein—for YEARS.
Trump, Thiel, and Musk are all so thoroughly compromised by their own treason they are effectively Russian agents.
Putin must be defeated. Traitors must face consequences.
Russia, Russia, Russia
On Oct 7, 2016, an emergency meeting was set by infamous pedophile Jeffrey Epstein with Palantir founder Peter Thiel, and Russian Ambassador to the UN, Vitaly Churkin.
Later that day, the Access Hollywood tape came out, followed by Russian-hacked emails being released on Wikileaks, which were systematically painted by alt-right online trolls paid by Thiel’s PAC MAGA3X to mean that Hillary Clinton was involved in child sex trafficking.
Mike Flynn and Erik Prince both worked to amplify these false, traumatic narratives about Podesta and a cabal of Satanic pedophiles run by Hillary. This was done significantly through Breitbart, which was run by Epstein close friend Steve Bannon, and funded by Rebekah Mercer.
Additional firepower for these psychological operations was provided by Wagner chief Yvgeny Prigozhin’s Internet Research Agency—later charged by Robert Mueller. Up to 600 Russians were dedicated to the 2016 election on Twitter and Facebook.
The smearing of Hillary Clinton, which mirrored Epstein and Trump’s own documented child rape, was later branded as Pizzagate—and extended by QAnon. It was all systematic, large-scale projection designed to swing a presidential election through psychological warfare.
Thiel was the only major donor who supported Trump in the wake of Trump’s comments about grabbing women by the genitals on video.
Palantir had previously been caught planning to run a covert influence operation on Wikileaks.
A month after Trump’s inauguration, Vitaly Churkin suddenly died.
We were looking for “Russian collusion” in the wrong place.

We all know that’s the plan. Well, those of us capable of overcoming optimism bias.
I now have two sources close to Susie Wiles who claim that Trump is preparing a vast misinformation campaign for November 4th, built around conspiracy theories alleging widespread election fraud.
The plan? Declare victory regardless of the results, accuse Democratic officials of manufacturing ballots overnight, claim voting machines were secretly manipulated, and demand that Republican candidates refuse to concede.
In this scenario, the goal isn’t to prove fraud. It’s to convince millions of Americans that any election Republicans lose must have been stolen.

Sore loser. Who let those damn Arabs vote? This concept has been behind ethnic cleansing and it has destroyed support. Hey Bibi, what if normal, peace-loving Israelis are just tired of your shit?
A pale, sick, and hysterical-looking Netanyahu filmed here saying that “They are trying to steal the election from us" and that Arab turnout in the south is “incomparably higher” than among Jews, and Tibi and Abbas say “our voters are flocking to the polls.” The numbers for the Likud strongholds are awful and he is in serious trouble.

Megalomania: An obsessive preoccupation with one’s own power and importance, characterized by grandiose fantasies of superiority, entitlement, and control. In extreme forms, the belief that one is uniquely qualified—or destined—to determine the fate of others.
The world is currently being controlled by a small group of white men who each believe they are the one and only person to both save the world—and own it.
Amodei’s psychopathologies are not quite as malignant as the others, in the same way Sam Bankman-Fried was not quite as malignant as a violent bank robber.
Regardless, Amodei is religiously devoted to the idea that he will be the one to save the world—from very technology he’s irresponsibly accelerating. And he’s just as dismissive of the human toll: Anthropic’s own proposed regulations allow up to 50 dead people per model release.
All four of these men are uniquely UN-qualified to deal with any issue that concerns human beings. Messianic narcissists and megalomaniacs see people as an obstacle—or a tool—for shaping their own reality, nothing more.
Trump sees the entire world as one giant gilded Trump Tower. Musk sees Earth as a launch pad for his Mars colony; we are his “biological bootloader.” Putin sees the Russian Empire from Alaska to Berlin. And Amodei sees Claude becoming a god, making us all irrelevant.
The one thing they have in common is that their opinions of themselves is inconsistent with any normal measure of their value. They are all deeply flawed men who fashioned a self-reinforcing echo-chamber, which made them feel entitled to make life and death decisions for humanity.
The issue the world is currently facing is that while their belief systems allow a certain amount of cooperation, they are all also in fundamental conflict with each other. As Trump and the political situation deteriorates, the fractures between their messianic beliefs will become clearer—and make things worse.
Our human civilization has gone awry. We have created a system which promotes the most deviant psychopaths to the top. And then we let them change the system to stay there.
Enough. It does not have to be this way. Humans first.
The layers of self-delusion required for grown adults to get behind this Anthropic deal are wild.
The *only* way Anthropic survives is if they make some sort of near-term technical breakthrough that suddenly makes Claude “superintelligent.”
Psst. That’s LITERALLY IMPOSSIBLE.
LLMs are a commodity search product. You can run them on a laptop. They will get marginally better at mimicking the stuff in their training data over time. That’s it.
There is not even a good theoretical model for how it leaps beyond the training data—except in cases where there is an external verifier like Lean you can brute force solutions in a limited set of dimensions from the pieces left by humans.
Anthropic is now down to searching for Bigfoot—the notorious RSI.
Recursive self improvement is nonsense. There is no mechanism for “FOOM” “takeoff” or any of that other doomer lingo. It’s exactly like trying to create perpetual motion, or “free energy.” They will always be “80% of the way there” because there is no external verifier to tell it what it’s doing better. You can’t take humans out of the loop. The LLM is made of humans.
The company, and the entire chatbot industrial complex, is reliant on a religious conviction that has no scientific or logical rationale.
Anthropic is an extension of the Yudkowsky Rationalist/Effective Altruist doomer cult. It’s run by people who believe in their hearts that they are the chosen ones to raise the digital messiah from the chaos of humanity, and teach it not to kill us.
In short, they’re fucking nuts and so is anyone who invests in them. Anthropic is worth zero dollars.
Claude help us all if they go IPO.

Three down. Three left.
The people have spoken. We have had enough of the chaos, the hatred, the corruption, and the authoritarian idiots who think the world belongs to them.
Orbán, Bolsonaro and Vučić have all been rejected by voters.
Today, Netanyahu could be next. And Trump looks increasingly likely to earn his own big red cross in the midterms.
That leaves Putin.
The rest of us must make sure Moscow gets its red cross too, by giving Ukraine everything it needs to defeat Russia’s imperial ambitions.
The age of «strongmen» is looking a little less strong. And that is a beautiful thing.
Remember when you could wake up in the morning without wondering which country was being threatened, which ally had been insulted, or which international crisis had been manufactured overnight by a man with an oversized ego?
When politics was often boring, diplomacy happened behind closed doors, and world leaders generally tried to solve problems instead of creating three new ones before breakfast?
It wasn’t a perfect world. Far from it. But there was a certain peace in not having to listen to angry old men demanding the world’s attention every single day.
Imagine getting that peace back. Imagine a world where the morning news is about progress, discoveries and possibilities, rather than the latest threats, lies and tantrums.
We deserve that world again.

FYI: Putin's money bitch and internet spokesman, Kirill Dmietriev, runs this fund. RDIF allows governments to bribe Putin through foreign currency spent on Russian infrastructure.
The ones the Ukrainians are bombing the shit out of.
The Trump administration is considering lifting sanctions on Russia’s sovereign wealth fund, the Russian Direct Investment Fund, according to The New York Times. A U.S. official confirmed the administration is assessing the fund’s application for removal “through established procedures” as part of an effort to “improve U.S.-Russia relations and help end the war.” A final decision has not yet been made.
The Biden administration sanctioned the fund after Russia’s 2022 invasion, calling it a “slush fund” for Putin. People familiar told the Times that Russian officials pushed for relief in talks over the fund’s role in shipping Russian diesel to the U.S., after Trump suspended sanctions on Russian diesel October 9th. Treasury considers the fund already authorized to handle diesel and is running the normal removal process separately.
This would follow earlier actions taken by President Donald J. Trump with respect to Russian sanctions. On October 16th, President Trump signed an order waiving the duties and most of the sanctions provisions of the Lindsey O. Graham Sanctioning Russia and Iran Act. On October 21st, as envoy Steve Witkoff met with Putin, Russia released Stephen Hubbard, a 74 year old American held since 2022. President Trump wrote that the U.S. “was not required to give anything in return.” In remarks that day he said the U.S. “gave nothing in exchange.” In a Truth Social post just a few minutes later, he wrote that “if sanctions would have been placed, certainly those negotiations would have come to a complete and total halt."
