"Yeah, Afghans are very rapey. In fact so rapey that we had to use a logarithmic scale to fit them on to our graph. But it's not as serious as covid."

Cheeky bit of log scale usage by the Economist to make the difference less visually obvious

These kind of tweets don't work when you guys all demand to live in white countries.

It probably wasn't anything shady, just old people failing the young once again.

This is 100% a result of land title issues. You simply can’t have a functional democracy without property rights. Reconciliation needs to be about uplifting Native communities, not stealing houses from tax-paying citizens. Plenty of programs can further reconciliation (scholarships, special business loans, increased medical infrastructure, better schools) without confiscating property.

Every I ordered in some food in Argentina I prepared ordering in Spanish and even wrote it down to show them in case my "spanglish" wasn't good enough. It just felt rude to expect others to spend so much extra time with me.
We already give them plenty, and with every project they get their piece and then some. If you want their lives to improve you have to give them responsibilities, not blank cheques.
I disagree, but even if you were right, the way we handle it is obviously destructive as we give special interests groups the ability to veto national projects and economic booms. This is not only dysfunctional, but it is also a security risk as it allow foreigners to influence these groups with money (see US based billionaires funding tribes to oppose pipelines during the tar sands campaign and keep Canadian o&g trapped)

Honest question, Why do we even do first past post for Provincial elections. Seems like a massive waste of money and time when one leader is more than capable of representing a province.
