Here’s the problem with you Republicans.
You love saying grotesque stuff like “the state should chemically castrate child rapists!!!1”
But when the chips come down, and the call is coming from inside your house, it’s coward shit like “Who’s Leslie Wexner?”
Let’s have an honest conversation in Ohio: If someone is convicted of raping a young girl, the penalty should include surgical castration, at minimum, along with the harshest prison sentence the law allows.
A child who suffers this violence may carry its effects for the rest of her life. The offender should face consequences that reflect the gravity of the crime and protect children from future harm.
I know this is a severe proposal. Protecting children has to come first, and I’m ready to push this conversation in Ohio.
